Tiny Jackie Wins Well At Gosford Greyhounds

Two heats of a 400m maiden were conducted on Tuesday night and a couple of exciting prospects were produced.

Tiny Jackie a bitch by Kings Cadet ex Jackie’s First, owned & trained by Laurie Refalo (Mr Woy Woy Poultry), was having her second start in a race when she led throughout to score in a fast 23.17 with a first section of 10.86.

Unrealistic owned & trained by the father & son combination of Frank & Mark Harman finished second in this heat, his fourth minor placing from only five starts & should break through shortly.

The second heat was taken out by Lost I Am in a smart 23.21 with a first section of 10.75. By Black Enforcer ex Shireen’s Habit, this bitch was having only her fourth race start having previously recorded two minor placings. Second in this heat went to Tiny Cadet a litter sister to Tiny Jackie, which gives Laurie Refalo two starters in the final, for which the box draw will be very important.

Laura’s A Star bounced back to her best with a very smart 23.14 win for Bill & Cathy Dance. This Primo Uno bitch has now had six starts at Gosford for four wins & one minor placing.

Having his second start following a three month spell Coriakin Star scored a very strong win over the 600m trip. In second place early chasing the speedy Millionaire Mick, Coriakin Star raced away in the home straight to win by three lengths in at quick 35.30.

Other smart winners on the night were Watta Spark for Margaret Greer who posted a fast 30.11 secs, & Betsy Baretta who recorded 30.24 for Tom Astbury.

Gosford race again next week & don’t forget the Slipping track is now open. Work has also commenced on stage 2 of the viewing area.
