Vanderburg Training Days Numbered As Stewards Announce Third Inquiry
The days of Wayne Vanderburg's training career would appear numbered as New South Wales greyhound racing stewards have announced a third inquiry in to a Vanderburg trained greyhound.
GRNSW Stewards have already announced two inquiries in to positive swabs returned by the Vanderburg trained greyhound, Pink Sock.
Today they have announced a third.
Vanderburg's greyhound training licence has already been suspended pending the outcome of the two previous inquiries, yet to be heard.
Today GRNSW Stewards have advised they will commence an inquiry into the analyst's findings of a prohibited substance in the urine sample taken from Pink Sock prior to that greyhound finishing 7th in Race 2 at the Unibet Gardens meeting on 31 March 2012.
The inquiry will be conducted at the offices of Greyhound Racing NSW on a date to be fixed.
As previously announced by GRNSW, post race urine samples taken from Pink Sock following the 31 March 2012 race were also reported to contain the same prohibited substance.
Last week, GRNSW suspended the licence of trainer Wayne Vanderburg under the provisions of GAR 92 (5) pending the outcome of an inquiry into an analyst's findings of a prohibited substance in the urine sample also taken from Pink Sock after she finished 8th in Race 4 at the Unibet Gardens meeting on 25 February 2012.
