Country Challenge Runner Profile : Our Elite Belle

Our Elite Belle

( – Kalyara Belle)
22 (6 – 5 – 5)
Owner/Trainer:

Final Position: 10th (16 points)

This lightly raced bitch sneaks into the field on the back of a campaign where she was thrown into the deep end at only her fifth career start in winning a heat of the Bathurst Country Challenge.

Her best chance of success for the year came at Gunnedah where she started even-money favourite in the final but ran into opponent and could only manage a silver finish.

Owner/Trainer John Lawson also took Our Elite Belle on the long road west to contest the Broken Hill Country Challenge where she was the subject of a major betting plunge in her heat, opening at 2/1 before a tide of money had her start deep in the red at 1/2.

She began quickly but faded down the back straight and finished in third place narrowly missing a start in the final.

A risky beginner, Our Elite Belle's most impressive performances to date have been at the tight Gardens circuit where she ran 29.87 in May and if she could recapture that sort of form, could prove to be the boilover winner.
