Capalaba Greyhounds To Return To Racing
Racing Queensland Limited (RQL) is pleased to announce that greyhound racing will return to Capalaba on Saturday, July 16, 2011.
Over the past few weeks, RQL and the Capalaba Greyhound Racing Club have worked together to ensure racing could resume as soon as possible.
RQL chairman Mr Bob Bentley said Capalaba is important to South-East Queensland greyhound stakeholders and addressing the club's financial viability has been a priority.
“Capalaba has the only straight track in Queensland and I am pleased a viable arrangement has been found to get greyhound racing back on track,” Mr Bentley said.
Mr Bentley said he expects strong fields for the return of straight track racing at Capalaba.
“Families should come down and enjoy a free, fun-filled afternoon of entertainment,” he said.
Nominations for the race card will close on Tuesday, July 12 at 8:30am.
