Dzeko does it again in Listed Superstayers final

1 winning stayer Dzeko justified her skinny-odds in Thursday night's Superstars Invitational at , securing victory to maintain her record over the 710-metre journey.

After the scratching of , Dzeko was hammered by punters and started at just $1.40 pre-race in the four dog field.

Having won her past two starts at the track including last week's Group 1 Gold Cup final, trainer Samuel Dart witnessed another brilliant come-from-behind victory, defeating the small field in a fast time of 42.05.

Stepping beautifully from the inside alley, the daughter of and Rematch was headed early on by Cyndie's Magic and Lady Toy, finding herself in third position heading into the back straight.

As the leader began to tire turning for home, Dzeko produced a sctinllating burst of speed to flash home from fourth and score by half a length.

Second placegetter Mullaway finished runner-up to the winner for a second time in as many weeks after finishing second to Dzeko in last week's Cup over the track and distance.

Victorian star Lady Toy was three quarters of a length away in third.

The winner's purse of $25,900 takes the 25kg chaser's career earnings to $185,980, while she has now won 12 races from 38 starts.
