Free Family Fun Day At Capalaba Greyhounds

The Capalaba Greyhounds will be back and racing on Saturday, July 16, 2011 with a strong 10 race card amidst an afternoon of free family fun entertainment.

On track, the 10 race card is sure to offer copious excitement as the greyhounds hit the straight racetrack for the first time in four months. The first race will commence at 12:52pm and the final event will be run at 3:52pm.

Off track, there are plenty of activities organised to keep the children entertained with a jumping castle, mechanical surfboard and fairy floss operating from 1pm to 4pm.

The adults can join in the fun as well, with Peter Mooney, the local bookkeeper generously donating $1000 of betting vouchers to be drawn out through the day as giveaways, by master of ceremonies Paul Dolan.

Local band, Carnival Gypsy Minstrels will be sure to have the crowd up and dancing as they perform favourite classics in between races for the afternoon.

Entry is free and gates open at 12pm. All children receive a free pack of lollies upon entry.
