Ring The Bell chimes in with a bold run to win 2016 Superstayers

RING The Bell has scored the biggest victory of his career, taking out the Listed Superstayers (710m) at Albion Park on Thursday night.

Jumping well from box three as the $4.60 outsider in the four dog field, the brindle chaser rolled straight to the early lead over Luna Jinx (box five) and Cyndie’s Magic (box one).

Sitting in the middle of the track for the most of the race, Ring The Bell allowed Luna Jinx to rail through along the inside through the catching pen, with Cyndie’s Magic circling the leaders to make a line of three approaching the 710m boxes on the second occasion.

Off the back straight and the three front runners got very tight, with Ring The Bell headed by Cyndie’s Magic as Luna Jinx dropped back to third.

Around the home turn and Cyndie’s Magic had her head slightly in front, but Ring The Bell refused to give in, kicking back strongly along the fence to find the front once more in the home straight.

The son of Kinloch Brae and Absolute Stunna stretched out beautifully in the run to the line, scoring by one and three quarter lengths over the fast finishing Luna Jinx.

Cyndie’s Magic weakened to finish third, with My Boy Brodie (box seven) never getting into the race back in fourth spot.

Trained in Victoria by Gerry O’Keeffe, Ring The Bell has now won 11 of his 39 starts with his career earnings now sitting at $80,990.
