Size Can Matter Named 2008 Qld Greyhound Of The Year

International winning dog Size Can Matter has won the prestigious 2008 Cartwright Property Group Queensland Greyhound of the Year.

The Group One Perth Cup and winner was announced at a Moulin Rouge-themed Gala Event at the Sofitel Grand Ballroom amongst 300 industry leaders, and presented by the Queensland treasurer and minister responsible for racing, the Hon. .

The fourth finalist was the only bitch of the group, Queen Lauryn, who is trained by Tony Brett and owned by Queensland racing identity Steve Hawkins.

Size Can Matter has won over $200,000 in his career to date, including one of greyhound racing's richest races the Platinum Paws Final in Christchurch, which boasts a winner of $135,000.
