Bogie King Flies In Gawler Gold Cup Heats

Eight heats of the 2012 The Bunyip were conducted at last night's twilight meeting.

Fastest qualifier for this Sunday's 3 final was the Queensland trained Bogie King for Ryan Ayre who flew around the circuit in a fast 30.41 (.18 outside the ) for the 531m journey. Ryan also Bogie Magic for Sunday's event.

Two other trainers qualified multiple greyhounds for the final with preparing Aston Thomas & Kalden Komoto and with Cousin Callum & Picaboon.

Mad Monza for George Cooper surprised with his victory in heat 7 paying over $32.00 on TattsBet and defending champion Kalden Mayhem for stamped his claim for back to back victories after another barnstorming finish rattling home in a slick 30.57.

Fastest second placegetters Time For Fun (30.64) and Premier Bill (30.66) were declared reserves.
