Port Pirie Greyhound Club Suspension To Continue
The Greyhound Racing South Australia Board met yesterday and determined to continue the suspension of greyhound racing at Port Pirie until at least 1st July 2011.
The original suspension took place after a Sunday race meeting back on January 16 where the meeting was abandoned after the seventh event on the card by the stewards as the result of issues with track and equipment.
The Board is currently undertaking a broad planning process, including imminent consultation with industry participants, and was of the view that any decision on this matter should be considered within the context of that framework.
GRSA will transfer the affected meeting dates to another venue, details of which will be released shortly.
