THIS week’s review of litters from the NSW Whelping Report for the week ending January is starts with a litter of seven pups, registered by Illabo breeder, Peter Sims, by the outstanding stud prospect, Buck Fever (December 2009 Brett Lee x Kiacatoo Pearl) whose dam is by History Lesson x Naughty Thoughts (Go Wild Teddy x Ready To Rain).
The two dogs and five bitches are from the beautifully bred bitch, Reverberate (December 2010 Premier Fantasy* x Surpassing) whose dam is by Collision x Frosty Fruits (Just The Best x Reckless Abandon).
She is from a very good litter which included, Anathema, Dozen Points, Incumbent, Inside Edge, Jagger Swagger, King Slayer, Nifty Ellie, Passed Fantasy and Screaming Bikini.
Their dam also produced winners from her other two litters on file, whelped in October 2012 by Where’s Pedro and November 2013 by Brett Lee.
Reverberate proved herself a top class stayer on WA tracks, with her overall race record reading, 83 starts for 24 wins, 23 seconds and 17 thirds.
She won 11 races over 715m at Cannington (41.97), where she also won six times over 642m (37.30) and three times over 530m (30.64), with two wins over 647m at Mandurah (36.69) and wins over 400m (23.29) and 460m (26.66) at Warragul in Victoria before she went west.
Buck Fever is from a litter which included Bush Song, Dream Lee, Gundabooka, Hillbilly Deluxe, Moonhine Sally, Moonshine Shadow, Ultimate Chance, Western Heart and Western Pearl.
On the track he raced 18 times for six wins and five placings, winning twice over 450m at Bathurst (26.20) , where he also won over 520m (29.47) with additional wins over 520m at Wentworth Park (30.15) 450m at Maitland (25.14) and 515m at Bulli (28.94).
He is a half brother to Shakey Jakey and according to my breeding records, he has had offspring race from four litters to date, whelped in October 2013 from Midnight Movie, December 13 from Illegal Lengths, January 2014 from Fancy Jaffa and January 2014 by Bailey’s Express and his name has burst into the spotlight in the last couple of months through the efforts of the very smart sprinter Buck Forty, and the brilliant but still learning, sprinter/stayer Burn One Down, both from the Fancy Jaffa litter.
Certainly plenty to like about the potential of this litter, Peter, which I imagine will generate plenty of interest as more of the offspring of this promising sire hit the tracks.
Collision litter on Exhibition
NEXT we have a litter of ten pups, registered by Darryl Chapman, from Whiteman’s Creek, by Collision (August 2001 Awesome Assassin x Rumble Spirit) which should create plenty of interest amongst potential buyers with future breeding in mind.
The two dogs and eight bitches are from the very well bred bitch, Exhibitionist (December 2011 Superman x Naughty Nicki), whose dam is by Bombastic Shiraz x Outrageous Angel (Proper Tears x Pumpkin).
She is from a handy litter which included, Abbreviate, Anthony’s Boy, Lacey Lois, Super Princess, Super’s Son, Total Blonde and Unbound, with their dam’s only other listed litter, whelped in March 2014 producing Conductress, Samba King and Samba Law.
On the track she raced 53 times for 17 wins and 12 placings, winning six times over 520m at Albion Park (29.91), three times over 520m at Ipswich (30.33) where she also won over 431m (25.29), twice over 407m at Grafton (23.04), twice over 520m at Dapto (29.71) and also over 520m at Wentworth Park (29.70), 510m at Rockhampton (29.43) and 520m at Lismore (30.31).

The three dogs and five bitches in the litter are from the 2010 Bulli N Barley Cup winner, Sunlit Hope (February 2008 Phoenix Ice* x Sunlit Waters) whose dam is by Head Honcho x Moonlit Waters (Billy Binjang x Harrietville).
She is from a litter which included Alfresco Frenchy, French Cake, She’s A Sunlit, Sunlit Joe, Sinlit Leo and Sunlit Road, with their dam also producing winners from her other litters, by Legs Ahoy, Placard and Stately Bird.
Sunlit Hope raced 70 times for 17 wins and 26 placings, winning seven times over 400m at Wagga (23.10) where she also won over 516m (30.47), won twice over 457m at Temora (26.34) where she also won over 311m (18.49) and won over 520m at Wentworth Park (30.83).
She has winners on file from her first two litters, whelped in April 2012 by Knocka Norris and July 2013 by Magic Sprite so it will be interesting to keep an eye on this litter.
OUR final litter from this week’s NSW list is one of eight pups, registered by Swan Bay breeder, Alexander Verhagen, by the well rated international sire, Milldean Panther (December 2009 College Causeway* x Auld Nag).

TWO litters on the Victorian list this week by outstanding stud success Magic Sprite (March 2008 Brett Lee x Glamorous) with seven pups in the first litter, registered by Manifold Heights breeder, Mark Pearson, from the well bred bitch, Crystal Cash (November 2009 Knocka Norris x Surf Queen) whose dam is by Surf Lorian x Queen Size (Deep North x Ultra Queen).
She is from her dam’s first litter by Knocka Norris, which included Alleviate, Don’t Knocka Him, Knocka Down, Little Miss Hap, Powers Back, Scissor Queen and Surf Sticka.
The repeat mating to Knocka Norris resulted in a May 2012 whelping which produced Court Jester, Deceptive Size, Good Size, Jules Norris, Lucy Norris, Silvi Norris, Surf Jester, Tear Away Size and Universal Size.
Surf Queen also has litters on file whelped in December 2008 by Pure Octane, June 2011 by Fear Zafonic*, January 2013 by Brett Lee and October 2013 by Head Bound.
Crystal Cash has two named offspring on file, Emilia Cash and Little Written, who were whelped in February 2014 by Cosmic Chief, but this really is a beautifully bred litter, bred along successful lines, so keep an eye out for her offspring in the future.
Purnim breeder, Danny Kelly has the second Magic Sprite litter, which has three dogs and one bitch, from the well bred bitch, Skye Creek (July 2010 High Earner x Bogie Style) whose dam is by Surf Lorian x Bogie Blitz (Placard x Young Title).

The three dogs and three bitches are from the very well bred bitch, Maysoon Kahn (August 2011 Brett Lee x Another Request) whose dam is by Collision x Double Guess (Wild Season x Roxy Reason).
She is from a litter which included Acoustic Kahn, Avatar Honey, Billy’s Girl, Genghis Kahn, Media Kahn and Zulu Kahn, with their dam also producing winners from each of her two other litters, whelped in March 2012 by Premier Fantasy* and October 2013 by Magic Sprite.
On the track she raced 80 times for the handy record of 15 wins and 25 placings, winning five times over 395m at Albion Park (22.53) where she also won three times over 520m (30.39) and once over 331m (19.00), won twice over 515m at Angle Park in SA (30.28) where she also won over 388m (22.53), twice over 400m at Gawler (22.52) and also won over 390m at Ballarat (22.27) and 425m at Bendigo (24.42).
She certainly did plenty of travelling during her time on the track but showed her versatility with a 50% overall strike rate, combined with her impressive pedigree and that of Westmead Hawk*, this litter should do pretty well Sheila, good luck with it.

The Werribee Club named the Noel Ryan 1 win limit stake in honour of former Coursing stalwart Noel Ryan, who passed away just a few weeks ago, and this was won by David Chiu’s Sun Choice (Magic Sprite x Lovely Time) who was too good for Murray Hehir’s Rambo’s Party in the final.
