New Conductor Rail For Devonport Greyhounds

has arranged for the conductor rail at to be replaced and this will necessitate the of the track for racing and trialling for a period of 26 days (weather permitting).

Work is scheduled to commence on Wednesday 27 April 2011.

The Devonport meetings on May 3 and 10 will be conducted by the HGRC with the Country Oaks and Derby being hosted on these days as on the feature events calendar.

The Devonport meeting on 17 May will be conducted by LGRC.

The Qualifying Trials scheduled for Devonport on 17 May 2011 have been cancelled.

Trainers will need to utilise other trial facilities during the period.

will conduct additional trial sessions on Saturday mornings (replacing the trial session at Devonport on Saturday mornings) on 30 April and 7, 14 and 21 May 2011.

Trainers West of Deloraine will be paid compensation to attend Launceston to trial on Saturday mornings only. Compensation will be paid at the same rate as the Postponed and Abandoned races policy. LGRC trial staff will be required to maintain records for compensation payments.

Should the project run over time, then the meeting on 24 May 2011 will be conducted at Launceston with the WHK Classic Heats and Final being postponed to 31 May and 7 June at Devonport.
