2012 Melbourne Cup Gains TAB Sponsor For $500,000 Race
The Sandown Greyhound Racing Club today stated that it “is delighted to announce TAB as the major sponsor of the club's flagship event, the $500,000 Group 1 TAB Melbourne Cup.”
“The TAB Melbourne Cup is the biggest race in greyhound racing, and we're proud to be partnering with TAB for this historic race,” said Geoff Dawson, Chairman of the Sandown Greyhound Racing Club.
“TAB has been a great supporter of both Sandown and greyhound racing in Victoria, and we look forward to seeing the nation's fastest chasers racing at Sandown Park for the biggest prize ever offered for a greyhound race.”
The TAB Melbourne Cup is the headline event of the Sky Racing Superdogs Series, a three week greyhound racing extravaganza which features four Group race finals and more than $1million in prize money.

The TAB Melbourne Cup is the final event of the Sky Racing Superdogs Series, a three week greyhound racing extravaganza which features four Group race finals and more than $1million in prize money.
The TAB Melbourne Cup final will be run on Thursday 22 November.
