Dawbilows Heaven Set Sights On Tri Star Series

Trained by , Dawbilows Heaven has been in scintillating form with five wins from his last seven race starts.

The son of Bond made it through to the final of the leg of the series when he recorded an impressive twelve length victory in his heat.

In the final which was run last Thursday, Dawbilows Heaven ruined any chance he had of taking out the final when he was slowly out of the boxes.

“He has plenty of ability and our aim has been to win a leg of the Tri Star Series. This race should give him a good look at the track before next week's heats.” Ennis said.

The MTD Tri Star series is being run at three provincial tracks, Bendigo, and , and is for youngsters whelped on or after 1/4/2007.

Any greyhound who wins one of the provincial finals is then eligible for a cash if they are able to win two, or all three of the legs of the series.

Owners of the most consistent greyhound throughout the series will also be awarded a stud service to local champion sire Bombastic Shiraz.

Dawbilows Heaven has drawn extremely well for the race in Box 2.

“It's a very tough field but he is sure to give a good account of himself.”

“Hopefully he can get out cleanly and run over the top of the opposition.”

Dawbilows Heaven has ten wins and four minor placing's from only twenty race starts, which underlines the up and coming young chasers ability.

He will not have it his own way though, as there are a number of well performed chasers engaged in the race to be run over 450 metres.

Other top chances in the race include and , just to name a few.

Birthday Boy is the reigning winner, and will jump from a suitable Box 7 draw.

His form on paper since his Cup win has been a bit indifferent, but he can never be underestimated as he has loads of natural ability.

Kendale Bale is another who can match it with the best in the state.

The son of has won from every box draw, so his Box 8 draw will not affect his chances in the race.

Kendale Bale has been slow out of the boxes at his last two starts, and received a severe check in running at his last start at .

With a clear run in transit he is sure to be running on at the end of the race.
