Majestic Lee’s Bendigo 500m Track Record Run

Exciting youngster Majestic Lee further enhanced his reputation as a promising sprinter with a scintillating run over 500m in a heat of the Topcat Video Productions to Meadows Summer Series.

Going into the race with an impressive record of four wins and two seconds from seven career starts including a sizzling 23.64 Bendigo win over 425m on October 24, Majestic Lee was sent to the boxes an odds on favourite from the inside alley and used the inside alley to perfection to carve out sections of 6.50 and 14.91 en route to a record run of 27.81.

The son of and Premier Class lowered the previous record held by Aston Carmelita by 0.11 and will now head the final at on Saturday 1st December looking for a city victory at his ninth career start.

Other heat winners were Sign Of Snow in 28.10, Bouncer Norris 28.25, Flaming Diva 28.30, Bronelly Dancer 28.18 and Landing 28.50 ensuring the final at The Meadows on Saturday week is full of quality.

The Bendigo to Meadows series is the second on four annually scheduled events conducted between the two Clubs and like the first series that was restricted to bitches only and saw seven heats conducted this series has proven extremely popular attracting both quantity and quality.
