Miata Close To Another Record In Meadows 600m Solo Trial
The brilliant Miata rubber-stamped her short-priced favouritism for the Group 2 Macro Meats Zoom Top this Saturday night with a near-record trial over 600 metres at The Meadows.
The daughter of Bombastic Shiraz and Winsome Bluebird recorded splits of 9.04 and 21.92 before running home in a super 12.18, stopping the clock at 34.10 – just .03 outside the 600-metre track record held by Nellie Noodles.
The Meadows Manager Marg Long was on hand to watch the brilliant chaser have her first look at The Meadows circuit.

Miata will start from box one in Saturday's $40,000-to-the-winner final in her first race start in Victoria. TAB Sportsbet have installed the fawn chaser a $1.30 favourite to take out the Macro Meats Zoom Top ahead of Shimaguni, who is at $5.
The night will also see the running of the Group 1 Macro Meats Temlee (525 metres) and the Group 2 Macro Meats Rookie Rebel, over 600 metres.
