Traralgon Race For Great Cause Friday
The Traralgon Greyhound Racing Club is getting behind a fantastic cause – breast cancer research – this Friday night and is asking local businesses to do the same.
The club is supporting the National Breast Council Foundation's pink theme by donating $100 to the charity every time the greyhound wearing the pink rug (box 8) wins on what will be August 8th (08/08/08).
Any company that follows suit by sponsoring the number 8 greyhounds will gain free entry into the meeting.
Spectators will be treated to $3 Crown Lagers and $2 Yellow glen pink champagnes, while pink chocolate royals will be on the house.
The highlight of the 10 race programme is Race 8 – the Castle Of Mey Final (513 metres), which the club has approval from Buckingham Palace to host.
Businesses interesting in supporting this fundraiser are urged to contact Martin Nicoll at the Traralgon Greyhound Racing Club on 5174 2135 prior to Friday's race meeting, which kicks off at 3.52pm.
