In a surprisingly calm and pleasant night heading into winter, it was the Margaret and Sean Bannerman team which had the best night taking home four winners and two minor placing from the twelve race card.

In a battle down the straight Victor Lane held on from Brencole Bale in the 35.14 victory by a neck, early leader Just Ariek holding down third in the smart 0-3 win 600m field.
In another close affair Tinashe Bale finished a nose infront of Awesome Laddie in 30.83, in the tenth event, both greyhounds finishing slightly stronger than Plugger Banquet who lead to each mark.
The final winner coming in heat 1 of the Canberra Greys Sprint, with Frida Bale beating odds on favourite Amber's Osti in 18.19.
Gunning trainer Jodie Gilbert the only other trainer to score more than one win for the evening, again a running double with Cawbourne Bullet prevailing in the Valley Tavern Non Grade over 440 ahead of Rosey's Bond and Cool Aussie in a smart 25.43, before reserve Cawbourne Tuf prevailed in the Social Club Final.

In a best of the night performance Miami Lock was superb in last event of the night posting a 7.56 first section, recording 17.79 at the post, 3 ¼ lengths clear of a strong finishing Medium Pace and Pandora Lane.
Earlier in the evening Rain Gage for Wayne White, Blazing Annie for Lyn White, Morgos' Princess for Keith Morgan and Winmoore Joe for Amanda Ginn all broke their maidens in respective events.
Winmoore Joe the fastest of the sprinters recording an 18.13 win, while odds on favourite Blazing Annie posted a smart 25.58.
Kaynem Shayne also recording a smart 25.54 in the Snip Doggy Dog Veterans race over 440metres.
Kaynem Shayne and Odnoc Shearer going together early, but the Paul Hannaford trained dogs finishing the better over Odnoc Shearer Irinka Money finishing in third.
Canberra is in step up mode for the Lockwood Dog Floats National Capital Distance Championship heat appearing on SKY for every meeting until then, including two Saturday Twilight SKY Fillers on June 6th and 20th.
