Terry and Thelma O’Keefe’s Amber’s Osti showed why she is the joint Young 347m track record holder after flying the lids with early favourite Miami Lock the Black and White bitch was able to hold out the yellow rug and win by two lengths in 17.94, in the Canberra Greys Sprint Final, Miami Lock and Frida Bale taking out the placings.
In the biggest boil over of the night, in another smart filed it was Milk Run who proved too quick for Kirby Lane and Roxy Eva winning by 5 ¼ lengths in 25.41 paying up to $29 with ACTTAB in the Canberra Mower Services 440 non grade.
The heats of the Kilcoyne Kennels 0-4win heats produced some sensational runs, and a final which will be the highlight of next weeks program.
Going one better in heat two, Margaret’s Brencole Bale proved to strong on the line, winning in 30.99 ahead of Awesome Laddie and Compromise.
Morgo’s Princess returning punters another healthy dividend of over $10 in taking out the tenth event just pipping Highland Breeze on the line.
Last start winner Winmoore Joe putting it back to back by taking out the last for Amanda Ginn and paying $5 locally to making the trip home to Cudal a little easier.
