The opening heat going to Keith Morgan with Blazing Morgo who broke away from the pack at the first turn to record a comfortable 5 ½ length win over Zero Mittens and Elmslea Outlaw.
Morgan recording a double taking out the fifth heat with Rod Everett Memorial winner High Fees, another Morgan trained greyhound recording a comfortable win, this time 5 ¼ lengths clear of Classy Asset and Duck Sheree.
First starter for Brent Jones took out heat two in a smart 17.96, after going 7.64 early punters getting between $2 and $3 for the Droopys Kewell x Civic Rose black dog.
After flying last week Border Patrol continued it’s winning form for Ken Staines, who didn’t have it all his own way this week as Highland Abbey clung to the rails and went with the blue dog to the home turn, before Border Patrol found top gear to kick away.
