March Maiden Makes It Three In A Row At Canberra

In the second SKY Filler meeting for June another strong 11 race card got underway amid difficulties on Saturday night.

Race 1 saw Jodie Gilbert's first starter take the cash, though due to power troubles no times or margins were recorded for the event.

The second saw Teddy Two Buck secure his second win for the Can Punt Syndicate, Habmak recording her third runners-up position at Canberra while first starters for the Ping Cut and Motor Syndicate Bella Belinda came in third.

Continuing their good relationship with the Canberra track, Keith Jones' Pale Face Ariek beat Reefton kennelmates and in 30.78 in the Climate Doctor 4/5th grade 530 event.

In the lead up to the Lockwood , a number of interstaters had their first look at the track, with Tom Astbury's Jilly Tadmore taking out honors over Methane and Money Magnet.

Brimming with confidence Kirby Lane backed up last week's win with a solid 25.68 over Neil Staines' two starters Rosey's Bond and Milk Run.

The Valley Tavern 440 metre final saw Ken Staines' make it three on the trot in a very smart 25.47, Bruce Peck's putting in a solid effort for second High Fees rounding out the placings.

Lorraine Roy's Dark Cavalier continued his good Canberra form with a nineth career win on the ACT circuit in 17.86 over and in the Anytime Fitness Best 8.

Millie's Me Mum took out the Ready 4 Plumbing Final in fine style leading all the way to record the 30.76 win over , Vapour filling the minors.

Making its first Canberra appearance Leg Stump for Ross Koppman took out the nineth event over favourite Cawbourne Texas and Daytona Kent.

Steve Cleary and Sandie Brown's Myalla greyhounds will make up half the field in this weekend's Canberra Mower Services after Myalla Lehigh and Myalla Ash finished first and third respectively in heat one while and Myalla Storm recorded a second and third to book their places.

Other finalists will included Jenmar Goddess who won for the second week in a row, Evil Tadmore the other place getter in the heats while Classy Asset and Two For You came in fourth.

This weekend sees the prelude to the Lockwood National Capital Distance Championship before the heats on the 5th July. Hope you are here and apart of the action, which will see, some fantastic greyhounds line up.
