The Jodie Gilbert Show Rolls On At Canberra

In a good mix of races on Sunday evening it was Jodie Gilbert’s kennels which took home the most winners, with Teeny Tiny the most impressive, recording a 25.30 win.

The Stuart Dickinson owned Cawbourne line prevailing in five other events as Cawbourne Texas, Click, Norma, Rye and Madge all clocked up wins at good returns for connections.

Black Bitch Teeny Tiny the greyhound tipped to follow from connections after flying the lids clocking an 8.17 first section, the Primo Uno x In The Window bitch went on with the run beating home favourite Milk Run and Rosey’s Bond.

First starter Covelle for Greg Millwood and Jim Podmore kicked off the meeting in good time, gaining a start from box 6 the new comer held out litter mate Aranda in a smart 30.73.

Ken Staines trained Exotic Ghost made it two wins from three Canberra appearances, taking out race two by six and three quarter lengths over Roll On By and Miss Reblee.

The third 500 event saw another kennel quinella, this time the Ian McFarlane and Mark Scholes team saw Cardio Fantasy lead down the back and topple odds on favourite Suffocate.

The white and blue Premier Fantasy x Cardio Spark dog paying a smart $7.90 with ACTTAB, clocking 30.74.

Lorraine Roy’s Azure Osti looks to be finding it’s good form again after recording her second win in two weeks in another smart time of 17.79.

Having been in the places for the last four weeks, Plugger Banquet stepped up to the plate in the fourth and fifth grade Canberra Mower Services 440 metre event, winning in 25.79, over Medium Pae who put in a strong run home, Wizard Keeping coming in third.

Diedre Jenkins’ Viva Gem whipped away to win the first of the Wilson Watt Papandrea Maiden heats, What’s The Craic and Delta Rage taking out the placings.

This weekend’s final will see Viva Gem, What’s The Craic, Cawbourne Norma, Emjack Osti, Bull Bar Lou, Cawbourne Rye, March Maiden and Elmslea Outlaw battle it out.

Racing again this Sunday before the Social Club Trophy Meeting on Saturday 6th June with 6 races to appear on SKY Channel.
