AGRA’s Greyhound of the Month for April 2009 is New South sprinter sensation Dana Beatrice. The
highlight of her outstanding month of racing was a super performance to win this year’s Group 1
Golden Easter Egg.
The hard chasing speedster from Cowra upstaged all the big names to take out the “Egg” in the best of the night 29.70.
Dana Beatrice came into the Easter Egg series with an exciting win in her heat she defeated Trew
Millions in 30.04 on the 28th of March. On semi final night she chased home the fastest semi winner
Joanne Monelli to make the rich final.
It was a solid effort considering the winner recorded 29.76.

career high for trainer/breeder Rod McDonald.

over a courageous Miss Elly Mint at the wire. El Galo was three quarters of a length away in third place.
After the bright lights of Wentworth Park and a Group 1 victory Dana Beatrice stepped out at Young

performance she recorded a new track record time of 29.77. She followed up with a win in the final a
week later to round out a brilliant month of chasing.
