Eluthra’s Golden Easter Egg Campaign Is On Target

Evergreen free for all performer , winner of her last four starts at in impressive fashion is right on target for this years 2009 .

Eluthra has run close to the 30 second mark at her previous three Wentworth Park wins, but it was her last to first 30.44 win last Saturday night which really confirmed, she is coming to the top of her game at just the right time.

After getting pushed back to last on the first corner, Eluthra worked hard to circled the whole field for one of the most impressive Wentworth Park wins seen for some time.

“I'm looking forward to the Egg as it's everyone's dream to win it and hopefully we can get through to the final” Drynan said.

“It's not always that the fastest dogs get through and we will be very competitive” she added.

Eluthra was engaged in a heat of last year's Golden Easter Egg but did not progress to the semis. That occasion was the dog's nineteenth career start and tenth at Wentworth Park after 7 wins including 3 at Wentworth Park (best 30.09).

More than 12 months later Eluthra goes into this Saturday's race at Wentworth Park with the excellent record of 22 wins from 65 starts, and at Wentworth Park the black daughter of ~ Buena Sarah has become something of a track specialist having had 40 starts for 14 wins and 13 placing, with a personal best of 29.95.

“It seems like she's been around forever but she started off pretty young and this year she is a much better dog. She had trouble with her tonsils and antibiotics could not fix the problem so she had the tonsils out in early January” Drynan said

“I'm not sure if it was this or the spell we gave her, but she's racing in career best form now” Drynan added.

“Eluthra is in my daughter Kerry's name, but we race the dogs together. Kerry is a big help to me and we enjoy what we do. I have been training for 42 years now and still enjoy it immensely” Drynan said.

Drynan, who is located at Llandilo near Penrith in Sydney's west, explained that her daughter was also busy conducting a successful boarding cattery business there.

“I help her with the cats when I can and we are a great team” Drynan concluded.

Drynan also hads talented litter mate engaged in the Egg heats as well, although he has been a little inconsistent of late.

“He's been trialling well but when he gets to the track that changes. I just hope he can get some luck and get through to the semis,” Drynan said.

Eluthra is currently quoted at $17 in 's 2009 Golden Easter Egg pre post market, and Ravenstoke is been assessed as a $101 chance to win the $150,000 to the winner final.

The mum was Buena Sarah who had only one litter and sadly had to be put down after a serious injury at home. Buena Sarah also produced the talented performers Awesome Bogart and Midnight Lace which won 18 races between them for Drynan.
