Lucrative Odds On Offer In Sandown Cup Pre Post Market

The SportsBet pre post market for the Sandown Cup Heats to be run tonight is currently offering some terrific value for opportunistic punters.

Chinatown Lad is starting a prohibitive $4.50 favourite, even before the heats have been run and I don't recommend rushing in to this price in anyway, as you'll very likely pick up a similar price next week in the final market.

With this in mind there must be some value in the rest of the fields, so we thought we'd give you our preview of the heats with their current odds to help you find the final winner and earn a little easy money through the SportsBet pre post betting.

Heat 1 sees the pre post favourite Chinatown Lad start from box 4. He is coming off a hot 42.30 solo trial at the track and distance on the 1st May. Has shown early pace at recent starts, particularly in WA and should get the chance to lead again, although Sundae Slipper and White Chocolate could spoil the party early for him. Talk's Cheap is an interesting runner off box 1 and another who could upset Chinatown Lad early. White Chocolate ($17) is the stayer on the rise for mine and can run out the distance, while Fort Shakin' will be the runner coming over the top of them the last bit and is value each way at $26 for the final.

Gunnaddo Magic ($5.50) looks a moral to make the final off this box 7 draw and the scratching of Smurf's Dream from the 1 box. The only other dog likely to pressure Gunnadoo Magic early is Shanlyn Supreme off the 8 box, but she will fade late in the run. The only other possible hope here, is the inconsistent Rebel Angel ($15) who is more than capable of providing the upset if he is “on”.

Bye Bye Bones will attract most of the money here and should lead easily giving Fancy Penny and Proven Alias the perfect sit in behind. Surf Rescue is drawn the wrong side of the track and is not running up to his best form at present. With that in mind, I like Fancy Penny ($15), in the good hands of Anne Barnes; to finish over the top of Bye Bye Bones ($9).

The final heat sees another Tasmanian, Fallen Zorro; take on Sandown's staying specialist and AGRA's number one ranked greyhound; Just Friends. Fallen Zorro recorded a handy 42.32 solo trial here last week, but has a tendency not to produce her best against better opposition, as seen during the Sky Channel Galaxy in Perth. Very hard to go past Just Friends ($6) back on her favourite track with 7 starts here for 4 wins and 2 seconds. Kulu Spirit ($34) has not had much luck in recent runs and boasts a close second here to Just Friends back in April and is a rough chance at odds.
