The white and fawn Big Daddy Cool chaser has stamped himself the best in the West after taking out the WA Derby in early June his outstanding form has continued through to July and his Cannington record stands at 14 starts for 11 wins and three seconds.
In the Winter Cup final from box seven he got to the front down the back to race away in the back straight and win by two and a half lengths in race record time of 30.04.
Pedrosa will now contest the State National Sprint Championship at Cannington this Saturday night when he lines up in heat one from box five. If he can make it through the WA series and represent his state in Adelaide he may just emulate the deeds of another champion young WA dog Prince Of Tigers he beat the best in the nation on a wet and windy night at Angle Park in 1997.
Pedrosa is a White & Fawn dog whelped February 2008 by Big Daddy Cool from outstanding dam line Brooklyn Rain (World Title x Brooklyn Haze) he is owned and trained by Paul Stuart from Oakford in Western Australia. Pedrosa has raced only 21 times for 15 wins and four placings, his prizemoney earnings stand at $114,130.
As usual we had some outstanding runs recorded in July but Pedrosa got the nod due to his ultra consent form of top run after top run from April to again winning last Saturday night at Cannington.
AGRA congratulates owner-trainer Paul Stuart and Pedrosa on being judged the AGRA Run of the Month for July 2010.
