Greyhound Tips Thursday 11th July 2013
Its been a huge week here at Australian Racing Greyhound on the punt, with 11 winners from 14 selections since Sunday. Yesterday was another great day with 3 out of 4 selections winning, with all 3 runners paid $4.00 or more. Tonight is always a difficult night, however lets hope we can continue this winning streak.
Albion Park Greyhounds Race 7 Box 2 Cheryl's Lament 8.44pm
ough 600m race but I'm going to have a nice each way bet here on the box 2 runner. Her owner Joe Cavanagh has headed away on a trip around Australia, and the bitch has been racing extremely well since his plans were announced. She obviously wanted him to stay.
The daughter of Pinch Bar, put in a blinder lst start running a PB of 35.39 for the 600m trip. From box 2 here tonight, she is going to get a fantastic sit in behind the early leader, Citi Hawk. He's coming of a last start win, but really struggles over the 600 and I'm guessing he will even more so now that hes the ripe old age of 5. Cakes and Pies is always a threat, but if Cheryl's Lament can stay in touch early,she might just finish to good here for these. Shes' yet too win one here, but shes getting stronger and racing better every week and tonight looks a great opportunity for her. I have no doubt she'll be each way odds, and she looks a great bet nearing the end of the program at Albion Park.
Angle Park Greyhounds Race 3 Box 2 Bogie Prince. 7.55pm
There's going to be plenty of short priced favourites to win here at Angle Park tonight, so its pretty tough to select something that is a chance at odds. I've decided to go with the very talented Bogie Prince. I know he'll start favourite, and a short one at that, but like i said they will all start short at Angle tonight. Hes racing fantastic and has enough speed to lead from start to finish, however hes not limited in having to lead to win. He can come from behind and will have no trouble doing so if he has to here tonight. He has a PB of 29.83, much faster then any of these, and I'm quite confident if he leads, he can go slightly quicker.
If you were looking for something rough to put with him, Wicked Fish from box 1 grows a leg from the inside and she can't be left out here from the cherry. Bogie Prince, put the house on.
Dapto Greyhounds, Race 2 Box 3 Imshee 7.52pm
I don't like selecting unreliable maidens, but surely this girl will bring home the bacon tonight. She's been placed her last few and has run on well at the business end. She can be tardy and get caught up in traffic early on. It appears as if she may be able to get out and lead a few of these here, and if that's the case she should finish to strong. Box 3 will suit as long as she gets a clear passage through them early. Moonshine Smash looks to be the main danger for mine, and he'll certainly be vying for the top spot with his fair share of luck early on. Last chance for Imshee here tonight.
Hobart Greyhounds Race, 1 Box 1 Fred Brindle 7.16pm
There was something i liked about this blokes first start and although his last 2 starts have resulted in two lasts, I do think hes an each way chance here in this. I remember he showed great mid race acceleration, and at one stage looked a threat to the eventual winner.
Sandown Greyhounds Race, 2 Box 1 Born Lightning 7.25pm
Its been a while since this girl won a race, but she looks well placed to run a big one here tonight. Shes got a good inside box record and has enough speed to use the cherry early on. I doubt the 600m journey will be much problem for her and with a great jump she may threaten here. There's no certainty in the race and it does look to be an open affair. Boxes win races and this girl has the box. Didda Joe will likely start favourite but he has to overcome the pink rug. Hes not a great beginner so he will be slightly behind them here early on. If Born Lightning can jump and pinch a break on them here, she may win or fill a place. Born Lightning each way at odds.
