SPORTSBET is making it easier to win on the dishlickers with the introduction of new greyhound-specific features on its mobile form guides.
These new features include a detailed short form, with ratings, breeding, age and statistics for each greyhound and also includes an accurate speed map for each race and expert betting selections for Victorian events.
The speed map indicates the acceleration shown by a greyhound in the early stages of each event and is formulated by comparing it’s previous first section times.
The animated speed map is easy to understand, with greyhounds with the most early pace closer to the right hand side and those deemed to be slower closer to the left hand side.
The speed maps can be replayed by tapping the ‘replay’ button on your mobile phone or tablet device.
When a greyhound is scratched or if Sportsbet is unable to predict its speed based on the information available to them, this will be indicated by text next to the box number.
The short guides can be found at the top of each race card on the mobile phone app, while speed maps and expert tips can be accessed by scrolling further down the card.
To access the short form guides, punters must tap on the individual greyhound’s name, which will then expand with the detailed information on each dog.
In regards to the expert tips, three selections are shown on Victorian events only, with these tips then able to be added directly to your betting slip as a single or combination wager.
The new features are an excellent edition to Sportsbet’s existing promotions for greyhound punters, such as the Sandown Bark Boost.
The Sandown Bark Boost is open to Australian and New Zealand customers, with Sportsbet giving its customers a 50 per cent boost on their winnings up to $20 on their first winning bet at the Sandown Park greyhounds each Thursday night.
In addition to this, Sportsbet has recently amped up its coverage of the greyhound code, with fixed odds betting now available in the hours leading up to each event, in comparison to the 15 minutes offered by most bookmakers and the TAB.
For feature races, Sportsbet has fixed odds prices available days in advance, with prices found in the ‘futures’ section on its website and mobile app.
The leading bookmaker also has futures markets currently available for the 2016 Group 1 Melbourne Cup on November 18, with Zambora Brockie the current favourite at $12.
Also open for betting is a market on the next million dollar dog, with a detailed list of chaser priced to add their names alongside Fernando Bale, Dyna Double One and Sweet It Is as the next winner of seven figures in prize money.
With the enhanced form guides and special promotions, Sportsbet is stamping itself as the best bookmaker for greyhound punters.
Team all of the above with their matched-bet bonus up to $501 upon sign-up and you are set to have a lot of fun betting on the hounds.
