Crazy Sexy didn't have a lot of luck when making her metro debut last week but she is in good hands and I'm expecting an improved effort tonight. She is normally a very reliable beginner and with a clean getaway she should have more than enough speed to lead. Three runs back she posted a slick 30.62 Ipswich victory and that type of effort would be enough to score in this.

Huckleberry is a strong chaser and he has recorded three smart placings here in a row, he hasn't drawn well again but he should get a nice cart across from the four early and if he can balance up in the top four he should be right in the mix.

Smashniak Gold can show early speed in his races and he recorded a zippy 5.65 to the first marker when winning here two runs back, this is a rise in class for him but he appears to be showing quite a bit of promise.

Cheeky Freyer could be the value for the place, she doesn't win too often but she has a fair bit of talent and she is suited to the wide draw.

Elusive Desire is a strong chaser and he will be charging home at the end, he has won four of his past five starts and with an ounce of luck in running he should simply prove too classy for his rivals. There doesn't appear to be a lot of speed in this event so he should be able to balance up a lot closer than he normally would, he is likely to be fairly short but he should win.

Rizzini has a solid record here and she has been racing quite well, last time out she showed good early dash when placed behind the talented Pictures Pearce and if she can settle in the top two again she will prove hard to hold out.

Rocky Be Good has the good draw and he could run a cheeky race, I'm not convinced he will run a strong 520-metres but he should be able to hang on for some minor money.

Not The One rounds out the chances, he is much better than his recent form reads and he should be suited by the drop in class.

Lotus Blossom has been airborne over the 431-metre trip at Ipswich in recent weeks and if she pings away tonight she should be able to lead from go to whoa. Her past two wins have been in sub 25 seconds and she appears to be hitting the line hard in those events, she has raced well over this trip previously and I think if she finds the lure tonight she should get down to the 30 flat mark.

Apatite has a great record and she impressed with an all the way win here last week in 30.12, she has a slow beginner directly on her outside so she should get more than enough room to drive through in the early stages.

Surfin' Sue is expected to settle near the speed and she could hold on for some minor money, she isn't very strong but she has been placed in three of five here.

Reginald Benz is a highly promising type and he scored a commanding 30.25 win here last time, my only concern with him is that he is drawn in the middle tonight and he does take a few strides before he really gets going.

Blue I Am is a highly talented speedster and he looks well placed in this event, he has slow beginners drawn on either side so with a clean getaway he should be able to drive across and assume control. Two starts back he posted a strong 30.26 victory here and if he finds the lure early he will be going a lot faster than that.

Mister To Us has a great record here and he will be steaming home at the end, his recent form doesn't look to crash hot but he has gone sub 30 seconds here and this is the weakest race he has contested for a while.

Fast Bean is hit or miss early but he is brilliant when he hits, he has won three of 10 here and with some luck early he should be right in the mix.

Pipeline Dream will settle near the speed and he should run a cheeky race, he will fold up in the home straight but he might be able to hang on for some minor money.

Up The Attitude is flying at present and he is armed with a blistering turn of foot. Last time out he was a tad slow to begin but he mustered speed at a rate of knots and he was able to assume control as they reached the first turn. After having to work hard mid race he still hit the line well and he should get the cash tonight.

Bull Titan has the good draw and he was a strong 30.12 winner here two runs back, if he can hold a top three spot early he should be right in the mix at the end.

Fabulous Storm is probably the most talented chaser in the event but he does make mistakes early so he will need some luck early. He has won two of five here and he holds a sizzling 29.97 PB.

Bradley Benz is much better than his recent form reads and he should run a bottler, he can show early speed in his races and he could be the value in this event.

Kulu Cha Ching is in great form at present and I can see her leading throughout tonight. Two runs back she led all the way and beat a classy lineup here in 30.09 and at her starts prior she roared through the first marker in 5.52. With a good getaway tonight she should give herself every chance to score.

Late Angel Lee returned to racing with a dazzling 29.97 win here on Monday night and he does hold the track record here, my only concern with him is that he tends to race better from wide draws and there appears to be a fair bit of speed drawn around him.

Kingsbrae Lavina is reliable beginner and she has won five of nine over this journey, she has broken 30 seconds previously and if she holds the seven out early she will give a great sight.

Kidatee Croc rounds out the chances, he was a strong 29.95 winner here three runs back and he only needs a clear run in the first 60m to feature.

Bago Kysam just keeps on winning at present and from the red he should get the cash again, last week he beat a stronger lineup here and posted a very impressive 29.93, if he holds them out again he should be able to dash away mid race and she won't have too much trouble covering the extra distance.

Spookie's Gift is a super talent when on song and he is suited to the wide draw, he hasn't had much luck in recent weeks soon after box rise but with slow beginners all around there should be no excuses this week and he may be suited to the rise in distance.

Oxley Rubey is very hard to follow at times but there is no doubting her talent, if she gains a clear passage in the first 50-metres she could be there at the end.

Stella Nights is another making her middle distance debut and she gives the indication the trip will suit, the only concern with her is that she may get squeezed out early.

8FARMER'S GOLD122729.98Darren Russell

Iva Vision is all class and he should make light work of this lineup, he is the reigning shootout champ and he has won 10 of 16 here and his opponents can't get anywhere near his blistering 29.62 PB here. The draw doesn't help but he should step fairly cleanly and he will then follow the three across in the early stages.

Grand Roman has won two of his past three here in great style and both have been in sub 30 seconds. If he can reproduce his 5.58 to the first marker that should be enough for him to hold them out and if he does he will make Iva Vision work hard for victory.

Farmer's Gold is the run on type in the event, the wide draw doesn't suit but he is likely to bomb the start and that should allow him to drift across and find the rails, he is very strong and if the gaps open mid race he will make his presence felt.

Yada Yada Yada is a reliable beginner and after a string of impressive efforts at Ipswich he looks ready to take on the stronger company in town. There isn't much speed underneath him tonight so with an even getaway he should be able to drive to the early lead and that will allow him to show his best, he isn't overly strong but he should get away mid race and that will be enough for him to score.

This Time Reba can be a little hit or miss early but she has a great record here and she has been racing well in much stronger company of late, if she can push through early settle just behind the three she will make her presence felt.

Lady Abigail is a promising speedster and she is coming back after six weeks off, I would prefer her drawn nearer the inside but she has genuine speed and she could drift across into a prominent spot early.

Skuzi rounds out the chances, he tends to save his best for Ipswich but he looks well graded in this lineup.

Indiana Rumble hasn't had much luck in her recent efforts here but I'm expecting her to ping away tonight and she will be running some serious sectionals on the lure, her last 30-metres can be a struggle but she should be able to break them up mid race and that will be enough for her to score.

Mal Rose Hi has a big engine and he is suited to the wide draw, two starts back he turned in a monster effort to score here in 30.26 and if he can settle in the first half tonight he may prove too strong.

Spring Charlie returned to form with a slick 30.14 win here two runs back and that was from the same draw, if he can ping away again he should give them something to catch.

No Callaratah could be the value in the event, his form doesn't look great but he does have speed and with a clear passage early he could get the cash at nice odds.
