Casino Greyhounds – Race 7 – Box 8 – Goarder – 2:14pm NSW time

Goarder was a good winner here last start over this distance beating Black Hassler by over 10 lengths in 35.67. That was only her second start over this track and distance with the only other start producing a 2nd to Trancomalee. Had this box last week and blew them away and meets a similar field here today. All 3 career wins have come from either box 7 or box 8 and if they bet the $5.50 they are suggesting in early markets, we will be loading right up here.

Traralgon Greyhounds – Race 7 – Box 8 – Venetion Girl – 5:44pm Vic time

Venetion Girl was an impressive all the way winner at this track and distance last week, winning a 5th grade from box 2 in 5.53 29.69. That run was just outside the best of the day and the daughter of Where's Pedro looks well placed back here from box 8 in this 5th grade bitches only heat. 3 starts ago she won well at Sale over 520 from box 8 in near best of the day so we know she handles the draw. The veteran of just 11 career start, she was won 3 races and run 2 placings and obviously has a bit of a future ahead of her.

Wentworth Park Greyhounds – Race 3 – Box 4 – Grace Hill – 4:27pm NSW time

Grace Hill is a young bitch by Collision out of Token Whiz and as a January 2009 whelping she has had just a handful of starts. She opened her account winning on debut at Dapto leading all the way in 5.50, 30.07. She has since raced twice at Richmond winning both those starts in 31.18 and 30.94. Undefeated, she mets her toughest test here tonight and also has to overcome the squeeze box, but has enough early pace to out herself in the race. Put the name of this Andy Lord trained greyhound in your blackbook, there's more to come from her.

Albion Park Greyhounds – Race 10 – Box 2 – Punisher – 5:33pm Qld time

Long wait here for the last race and not much to choose from with only 2 520m races on the program, the rest being short course 395m punters traps. But for those who have the patience, Punisher trained by John Pay looks very well placed in this race. The son of had won 3 in a row here before a last start 2nd at . Can handle awkward draws, so box 2 is a major bonus and has a moderate middle distance greyhound drawn inside him. Will get every chance to lead and smash this field.

The Gardens Greyhounds – National Futurity – Race 5 – Box 5 – Up And Away – 8:18pm NSW time

Easily the most accomplished greyhound in the final, the Graeme Bate trained Up And Away has already won in excess of $100,000 as the winner of the 2010 Group 2 Great Chase at and the Group 1 at Sandown. While there is some handy greyhounds engaged in this final, none are in that class and Up And Away didn't do a lot wrong when run down by Tonneli Bale in last weeks semi final, showing the benefit of the run at the track the week prior. Up And Away should lead again here and will not get run down now she's had the benefit of a look at the track.

The Gardens Greyhounds – National Derby – Race 8 – Box 1 – Prince Diablo – 9:18pm NSW time

Boxes win big races and matser trainer has been blessed with the red box for his budding star Prince Diablo. The son of Premier Fantasy and Best Of Diablo put everyone on notice last week when he roared past Noar In Knocka to win his semi final in the near record time of 29.24. The 3 starts prior to that run were just moderate but importantly won from box 1 before that at Bulli running 28.82 leading all the way. The white and black dog has just enough early pace to hold the fence in this and from any other box, he would be in trouble, but today is drawn to get the gun run to the back straight where he will unleash.

Ballarat Greyhounds – Race 8 – Box 1 – Aston Elle – 9:28pm Vic time

Nothing fancy about the price on this one but from box 1 tonight the trained Astone Elle should bolt this race in. A heat winner last week in the best of the night 25.23 from box 5, Aston Ellle ran 6.65 early which should just hold the inside running to the first corner in this 5th grade final. Aston Ell has had 8 career starts for 4 wins and 1 placing and had been running well without luck in harder races prior to last weeks heat. Should be able to punch up on the inside and blow them away in the straight.

Mandurah Greyhounds – Dawesville Cup – Race 5 – Box 1 –In Brief – 8:27pm WA time

Unbeaten over the Mandurah 490m, In Brief lands in box 1 in the Dawesville Cup final after winning her heat convincingly from box 6 last week. Led throughout then in 27.78 running the best of the night and is proving to be a real Mandurah track specialist having won 5 of 6 starts here. Only other greyhounds capable of going with her early are drawn out wide, so the Michelle Beamish trained greyhound should get clear running early and set up a similar win to that of last week.
