Sandave Sapphire has raised the bar in recent weeks, scoring back-to-back wins over the track and trip in commanding style. The daughter of Miagi and Stately Sapphire should go close to leading from box one and if she can repeat her 42.34 victory from last week they will be facing an uphill battle to reel her in.
PLACE – Lovelace – Wentworth Park Race 5 No. 2 @ $1.62
While her recent form doesn't jump out at you, Lovelace is a big chance in this race. The blue bitch excels from the inside and should be able to find the fence in the early stages. She is very strong and should be able to work her way into the minor money.
WIN – To A Tee – Wentworth Park Race 8 No. 3 @ $6.50
Isn't blessed with much early speed but from box three he should be able to find a nice position around the first turn. The leader is expected to be Magic Spring, but he tends to walk to the line and if this fella is within striking range down the back I expect to see him finishing over the top and he should be strong enough to score.
WIN – One Samuel – Wentworth Park Race 11 No. 6 @ $1.65
Can be touchy at box rise, but, although drawn awkwardly, this race lacks early pace and he should have no trouble finding the front in the run to the first turn. He clocked 30.20 in running second here last start and a repeat of that performance should just about see him winning tonight.
