WITH the cold weather hitting most parts of Australia hard, why not kick back and relax in the warmth of your own home this weekend, all while backing our best greyhound racing bets.
We start this weekend’s tips with some terrific selections at Bendigo, Mt Gambier, Warrnambool and The Gardens tonight.
Race 6: Deano’s Gadget
Deano’s Gadget is ideally drawn in the red and she should get every chance to return to the winners list. From the inside she should step on terms and I would then expect her to outpace her rivals in the run to the first turn. She is a very fast chaser when on the lure and this race does appear to lack a fair bit of depth. She is currently $2.50 with William Hill and that is worth having a fair dinkum crack at.
Race 5: Ima Screw Loose
Ima Screw Loose has been racing in consistent fashion without winning of late and at the $13 fixed he is big over’s. There isn’t a whole lot of early speed engaged, so with a clean getaway he should be able to drive to the early lead and I think they might shuffle up behind him. The main dangers are the one, six and eight but they will be giving away a fairly big head start. He is great odds for the win and even great value for the place at $3.25.
Race 8: Kiss Me Marlow
Kiss Me Marlow hasn’t won for a little while but he is well placed in the wide draw and he does have a fantastic record over this track and trip. He likes to scout wide in his races and once he hits the ground he generally picks up speed quickly. He is currently at the $5 mark fixed with William Hill and that is great value.
Race 6: 1 to rove with 2,6,8 ($3 for 100%)
Deano’s Gadget is the best bet of the day so he should be leading all the way from the red draw. Nook And Cranny and Hero To Zero both have early speed and if either one lands on the reds hammer, one of them should fill the quinella spot, whilst Ressler is a strong type and he could charge home late and add some value.
Race 4: 7/2/1,5,8 ($3 for 100%)
Leg 1: 1,2,6,8 – Leg 2: 3,4 – Leg 3: 1,3,5,6,7,8 – Leg 4: 1,4,6
$144 for 100%
