Leg 1 – Angle Park – Race 8: Aston Kane To Place (Top Two Finish) $1.73
Aston Kane is ideally placed in the wide draw and with a clean getaway he should be able to settle in the top two and from there on he should take a power of beating. He has won 12 of 27 over this track and trip and two starts back he showed great early speed when recording a zippy 29.99. There is very limited speed drawn underneath so he should get every chance to figure in the finish once again.
Leg 2 – Albion Park – Race 6: Yalinga To Place $2.25
Yalinga doesn't have a great record here but he hasn't had a lot of luck in his three tries and I'm expecting a much improved effort tonight. There is a fair bit of speed drawn in the one but if he can step on terms he should be able to settle outside the red and I would then expect him to assume control mid race. His last 30m can be a little bit of a worry but this race isn't overly strong and he should have enough in the tank to land some minor money.
Leg 3 – Albion Park – Race 10: In The Picture To Win $1.70
In The Picture is a powerful chaser and with the smaller field tonight there should be no excuses for him in running. I am expecting the one, five and ten to all do battle in the early stages and he should be able to sit just behind them. He is blessed with an extremely strong finish and this race lacks considerable depth, so with a clear run mid race he should prove far too strong. The $1.70 is a little short but he does appear to have their measure.
