WITH the scratching of Mi Diablo yesterday, we were left with a two leg multi and unfortunately Rumbling Rick let us down. The fact he was backed into $1.50 after we found him at even money early makes things more frustrating.
Today I have found a couple of Jason Thompson trained chasers who appear extremely well graded and in early markets they are enormous over's, so I suggest you jump on early.
The third leg is a former Victorian chaser who has shifted across to SA and she should appreciate the big drop in class. Fingers crossed we can finally bounce back and get a collect.
Leg 1 – Cranbourne – Race 8: Bowl ‘Em Out To Win $1.95
Bowl ‘Em Out is dropping in class tonight and from the favourable draw he should be able to lead from go to whoa. In recent weeks he has been taking on some class chasers and two runs back he made the classy Droopy's Bentley look second rate. Tonight he is taking on some mediocre company and with the lack of speed drawn on his outside there should be no excuses. He will start shorter than $1.95 so I suggest you snap up those odds nice and early.
Leg 2 – Ballarat – Race 6: Shanlyn Violet To Win $3.65
Shanlyn Violet has been struggling in recent times but she is much better than that and she should be able to regain some confidence in this event. She does her best racing when she can lead and dictate the terms, there isn't a lot of speed drawn around her tonight so with an even getaway she should drive to the early lead and build up a nice break mid race. She can run some serious sectionals when on the lure and the $3.65 with Sportsbet is an absolute steal.
Leg 3 – Angle Park – Race 8: Graff Bale To Place $1.62
Graff Bale is making her SA debut but she comes here with solid Victorian metro form and she looks well placed in this event. She isn't the best beginner but she does muster speed quickly and she is extremely strong in the run to the line. I'm hoping she can avoid getting crowded early and if she can balance up around third or fourth as they head to the back she should make her presence felt as they turn for home. She is good value at $4 for the win but I think you can't miss with the place in the multi.
