Leg 1 – Gawler – Race 4: Aston Wingard To Win $2.25
Aston Wingard is ideally draw in the red and he generally pings the lids when drawn inside. He has been racing in good fashion of late and two starts back he showed a lot of guts when scoring here in a slick 30.68. He is taking on a good one in Fancy Rick but with a clean getaway he should have the speed to hold him out in the run to the first turn and Aston Wingard is a different chaser when on the lure. The $2.25 with Bet365 is a massive price and I suggest you snap it up early.
Leg 2 – Ipswich – Race 7: Butchulla Boy To Win $2.60
Butchulla Boy is a highly promising speedster who is ideally drawn and he has a fantastic record at this venue. From the red draw he should step well and he is armed with blinding early speed, so with a clean getaway he will have sufficient speed to hold them out early and I can't see him getting reeled in. Spring Millie has been flying over the 431m trip here of late but I dont think she will get across and therefore she won't challenge. Like Aston Wingard, the price is pretty good at present so it's best to get on early.
Leg 3 – Warragul – Race 9: You Say So To Place $1.57
You Say So took a while to find his best since coming down from Queensland but three runs back he posted a slick 22.73 victory over this journey and he looks well placed in this company. The draw should actually suit him tonight, he does his best racing when drawn out wide and, although there is a little bit of speed drawn on his outside, he should be able to out muster them in the run to the first bend. He is a great winning chance but for the multi I think the place option is a safer bet.
