Leg 1 – Sandown Park – Race 9: Cut Loose Max To Win $3.20
Cut Loose Max is all class and he has been racing in great form in recent weeks. Two starts back he powered to the line when posting a slick 34.16 win over this track and trip. The box draw isn't great tonight but he does have an empty draw on his outside and with the speed drawn in two and three, he should get a nice cart across as they head into the straight the first time round. The three will give a great sight but I think Max should be too strong in the run home.
Leg 2 – Sandown Park – Race 10: Zipping Simmo To Place $2.10
Zipping Simmo is a massive talent when on song and I think he is going to make a super stayer in the near future. Tonight he is racing over the 595m trip and he appears to be in a very suitable race. There is plenty of early speed drawn in the two, three and five and all of those runners are suspect at the distance, so if he can settle mid pack and hook to the outside, he should be able to chew them up late in the race. He is a serious beast when he gets into open space and he should get every chance from the wide draw.
Leg 3 – Sandown Park – Race 12: Letron James To Place $3.20
Letron James can be hard to follow at times but he does have a big engine and the wide draw is a big advantage for him. There isn't a whole heap of speed drawn underneath him, so if he can do everything right at box rise, he should be able to carve across and settle in the top four and that will be close enough for him to score. This isn't the strongest race and he will be nice value, so it might be worth having something on him to win separately.
