Leg 1 – Geelong – Race 6: Nayla Swift To Place $3
Nayla Swift is a lot better than her recent form reads and she is enormous value in a race like this. She has two slow beginners drawn on her outside, so she should get plenty of room to muster speed and I'm also expecting the four to carve up the inside division. Her last 30m over this trip isn't great but she has explosive mid race speed and I think she can steal a break at the half way mark. She is great value for the win but at $3 for the place she appears to be a very safe bet.
Leg 2 – Bendigo – Race 10: One Step Beyond To Win $2.35
One Step Beyond is an explosive beginner and he is drawn to take some catching. During the week he exited the same draw and he was never headed when posting a slick 22.82 Warragul win and on that occasion he looked quite strong in the run to the line. He has been placed in three of four here and the last 20m might be a slight concern but this is a big class drop, so I suggest you snap up the odds nice and early as I expect him to start well into the red.
Leg 3 – The Gardens – Race 7: Gracie See More To Place (Top Two Finish Required) $1.91
Gracie See More is a very strong chaser and today she is dropping back to a more suitable journey. Last time out, she raced over the 715m journey and she got a little tired in the run home, back to the 600m today she should hit the line a little better and she will be suited by the smaller field. I'm expecting her to drop out early but she will make a strong move mid race and she should rail their ears off as they round for home. With an ounce of luck she should be finishing in the top two.
