Greyhound Betting Tips For Tuesday 16th July 2013
Things went against us last night, but hey; that's racing. Unfortunately it's impossible to win 100% of the time, but we sure do our best to get as close the that figure as we can.
Dyna Daina, got the job done over the 731 again, but only paid $1.50 not enough to cover the other 3 selections. Hopefully we are able to find something with a little value here today.
Ipswich Greyhounds, Race 7 Box 2 Thrope 5.58pm
We are going to go with the old bloke here Thrope. He's such a consistent dog, and is always around the mark with the right run. Box 2 will suit him here today and he has drawn the right field to bring up win number 9 in. He has a PB of 25.27, far quicker then the outside runners. I'm quite sure the winner will come from one of the inside 4 boxes. Flaming Tango will probably start the favourite and she's going to take a power of beating out in front. She looks the early leader and has carved out a solid 25.36. If our selection Thrope can stay In touch with her early, he will be the one who gets the last shot at her rounding the home turn. He's going to be eachway odds and at that price he looks a great value bet.
Gawler Greyhounds, Race 9 Box 2 Significant Bit 3.09pm
The S.A flyer is Back! Significant Bit returned to her brilliant best last star over the unsuitable 388m journey; pinging and leading all the way. She looks perfectly placed here over the longer 531m journey and we should see her post best of the day figures. She has a massive motor, and really let's fly over the last 150m's of her race; but the way she won last week, we should see her bounce straight to the front and race right away. Only concern is she's having her first go here at the track. The big danger who can certainly win is Pandora Kist, and she's been racing in career best form of late. She generally pings the lids and heads straight to the front and can run time when on the bunny. Just one mistake from our selection and the box 8 runner may steal the chocolates; however Significant Bit is today's best Bet.
Devonport Greyhounds Race 1 Box 3 Fine Eagle 12.39pm
I'm going to go against one of my favourite runners here in Terror Time. I just get the feeling she's lost a little bit of that early spark needed to lead these here in this. So for that reason I'm going with Fine Eagle, he's been crying out for the longer journey and proved that with a solid win two starts ago. He loves the rail and has terrific mid race pace. I think Terror Time can hold the lead initially and I expect Fine Eagle to burn up inside her early on and take the lead. If he can do this, I think he should be able to hold on against these here in this. It's a very tough race and all 3 of the main runners can win. Expect the betting to be very close. Fine Eagle by a length or two.
Lismore Greyhounds Race 6 Box 8 Shoe Laces Lady, 8.23pm
I'm pretty confident this girl can get the job done here. I'll be having a big go here on her, and if she happens to fail I do have a plan to get my money back. She's bred to run the journey and has been knocking on the door of late. She's got a bit of talent this bitch, and she should be able to lead and go forward here against this lot. I don't think the trip will be of concern, and I do expect her to develop into a handy stayer. She's by far the best proposition in this race and even if she does miss out tonight, I do suggest you keep following her. She should be fair odds tonight and I suggest you have a fair go on her here. Box 8 is my only concern. Big Chance!
Warragul Greyhounds Race 6 Box 2 Magic Mantra 8.27pm
Darren McDonald had two runners engaged here, boxes 1 and 2; and I highly doubt there's too much between them. But I was very impressed with the second placing of young Magic Mantra last start. He looks the real desk this fellow and should certainly develop into a quality city dog. He races tough and will push hard against other dogs. He seems to have plenty of pace and I'm sure he can be vying for the lead here early on. He's strong also and he looks the obvious on top selection here. It does look to be a good quinella race, with boxes 1 and 2.
