Greyhound Betting Tips For Friday 6th September 2013
It's been super difficult of late, and winners are very few and far between. Regular followers are probably pulling there hair out at present if they're backing my tips. They're going shocking, and nothing seems to be going right, but I'll do my best to weather the storm, and hopefully we can come out the other side high and dry.
I managed to find 1 winner last night in a heat of the S.A Oaks and that winner was perfectly boxed Wonder Whirl. She flew the lids and found the line, but she was getting a little tired and stopped the clock at 30.10; far slower then her flying PB of 29.67 but still quick enough to win. I was surprised at her price of $6.10 and though that was unders with all things considered however a winner is a winner!
Onto today, and Friday is often a hard day, however lets hope the punting gods are on our side.
Ipswich Greyhounds Race 6 Box 2 Benarkin 5.34pm
I haven't worked this fellow out yet, and I don't think his trainer Tony Brett has either. A few starts ago he made up a huge amount of ground, and powered to the line over the 600m trip at Albion Park stopping the clock in a flying 34.91, and in turn easily broke 13.00 in the run home which is generally a solid guide to them handling the 700m trip. But this fellow failed miserably when Tony stepped him up the next week. Tony's stepping him up a little more again here today, and the 630m trip is the inbetween distance we have here in Queensland and he does look the winner here in this. All this fellow needs to do is jump cleanly and hug the rail, and he should unleash a mid race burst that will see him burst right away from this lot here. Two starts ago he was beaten here in a flying 37.28 and with clear running I think he's capable of running that time – far quicker then most of these can go. Don't go taking silly odds though he's a little inconsistent and $5.00 will be about the right price.
Gawler Greyhounds Race 10 Box 1 Geek Freak 4.07pm
I'm only tipping this girl because she's drawn the red. She's far better then her recent form suggest, and she has a great record here at Gawler. With 9 starts for 3 wins and 4 placings. She's badly out of form and its not a great idea tipping a dog out of form but all the factors are there for her to improve – the cherry, the record and the fact she's found a race she can get forward in and get right up on the lure. The flying Avid Tyson will tear away here early and really carve out two flying sectionals but she is weak and does struggle in the run to the line. If Geek Freak can get out and go early and sit on the hammer of Avid Tyson she can run her down ad they turn for the judge. Eachway but be careful, she's not racing well.
Casino Greyhounds Race 6 Box 2 Diamond Sparkles 2.12pm
I'm gonna select my close friends dog here in Diamond Sparkles. Since moving down to Casino from Qld Bill Sharpe has had terrific success with his two old dogs. Turning them both around at 4, and giving then a new lease on life. Both Dianond Sparkles and Hanify's Diamond have raced terrific in the last few weeks and Sparkles gets another chance here to win yet another. He's got a motor this fellow but he isn't the toughest of competitors and he does need to find the lure from the get go. Once on the lure he can go a bit, evident in his flying 35.57 PB around here. The field is down to 6 runners and this will help him get out and on the lure early. He does seem however to go better from the outside and this is a little concern to me but he'll be good odds and this is certainly a race he can win. He's rearing to go and 100 percent – big chance.
Wentworth Park Greyhounds Race 8 Box 1 Trendy Tia 9.40pm
As is the norm of late, I can't seem to find the dog on the right night. I tipped Trendy Tia two weeks in a row only to see here fail miserably. I was confident she could easily break 30.00 and both times she disappointed. However two starts back she scorched around here in a flying 29.77 and paid a nice $7.00. That price won't be on offer here tonight but punters should still be able to get $3.50 about her. Box 1 is an advantage, but the question is can she use it. Boxes 2,and 3 can both go quick as well, and it will be a battle of the quickest early here in this. There's nothing between them but with the inside running Trendy Tia has the advantage.
