Wentworth Park Greyhounds Race 5 Box 2 Mexico City 8.47pm
I quite like the chances of Mexico City here. Forget his last start failure at Dapto where he was up against the country’s best. This is no easy race either, but he does have box 2 here and hes got a big motor. He’s run a flying 29.58 here far quicker then the in form Good Oddds John who will start the favourite. He should get a lovely trail here, and if he does jump he can lead these. He’s not the sort of dog who will pass a few, so he does need to put himself up front in a winning position; but he should be big odds here and he’ll be certainly worth the punt. Boxes 5 and 6 will look to carve down hard from the outside and they may either get across or cause carnage rounding the first turn. If they do happen to get across I dont like the chances of Mexico City, but if they don’t his chances are extremely increased. Jump on fixed price he’ll be good odds.
The Meadows Greyhounds Race 7 Box 1 Major League 9.20pm
This is no easyrace here and I’m hoping we find value in Major League. He’s been threating to win one but seems to always do something wrong. He has a huge motor and is the fastest dog in this race hands down but for some reason he goes one week and not the next. He can win this and his chances should be increased after drawing the red box. All the money will come for Proven Impala, and that makes sense after her tough and strong win at Wenty, and the fact she should lead them up here and roll along in front. But shes not super strong and if Major League can land in behind and find clear running. I have no doubt he’ll reel her in though. Dyna Oats is the major concern and he debuts here over the staying trip after some brilliant 600m runs. He should have no trouble with the extra distance but the unfamilar starting point and the field of seasoned stayers may make it hard for him here. Major League has the box and the motor and I’ll be backing him.
Best Of luck
