Greyhound Betting Tips For Thursday 1st August 2013

Big night of racing with most clubs holding their heats of the Sprint an Distance Championship. At steps Benarkin up to the 720 for the first time for the Velocity Lodge partners, and Jeff Cumming and Nina Harman will also step there charges Seven Straight and Wag Tail respectively.

is engaged and he takes on up and coming flying machine Shabeky in heat number 2 of the Sprint Leg. Can the young gun get the better of the old warrior, time will tell.

Albion Park Greyhounds Race 9 Box 1 Stalingrad, 9.28pm

This is the sort of race Stalingrad has been waiting for. I remember him as a pup and he looked as if he could be anything early on. But I think he may have broke down, and unfortunately we have never seen the best of the dog. However tonight looks his race and he's drawn perfectly in box 1. There is not a great deal of pace on the race and he looks as if he will easily lead these out here tonight. He has a best time of 30.59 but I'm sure he's able to go far quicker than that. He's quite a talented animal on the bunny and he should be on it for a long way here. His recent form has been good and he looks a solid chance here tonight. Mysterious Thing and Restless Teddy look the dangers, and certainly figure with luck.

Angle Park Greyhounds Race 5 Box 6 Miss Woods 8.38pm

I've heard good things about Woods since returning from a spell and am told she has been trialling well. She's such a consistent hard chasing little bitch I'd probably tip her anyway; but by all reports she's going extremely well and is more then capable of winning this. Dyna Daina will lead but she failed to hold here two starts back and that worries me. With the short let up Miss Woods has had expect her to fly the lids and be up in the leading division. If she settles in behind these here early, she should be very hard to stop in the run to the line. There are a couple debuting here over the trip and that's always a worry, as their racing pattern can severely affect the outcome of the race. As long as Miss Woods possies up early expect her to be there at the finish.

Dapto Greyhounds Race 1 Box 1 Repudiate, 7.28pm

Tough race with many chances but I do like the box 1 runner. She's got the pace to lead and is proven she can win here. I've watched the last few of her starts and she does have the ability to win here and improve her PB. This is only her third attempt over the 500 and if her breeding is anything to go by she should improve with age. She should be off and gone here early on, and will take plenty of catching. Mr Kenmore is the class runner with plenty of ability, and his run here first up last week wasn't all that bad. With luck in running or a speedy beginning this bloke looks a real danger. Repudiate Each way.

Hobart Greyhounds Race 8 Box 1 BellWether 9.44pm

This is a bad race and one in which we should steer clear of; however I'm going with Bellwether here as i thinks she'll be overs and from the cherry may be a big threat. She struggled to win her maiden and hasn't set the world alight, but 4 starts back she ran a pretty good race at . This race here is no tougher, if she can get away early here and put her foot down shes a sneaky chance of pinching this. Each way

Sandown Greyhounds Race 5 Box 1 Langi Bale 8.28pm

This race looks the race here for out of form chaser Langi Bale. She's a pretty good bitch with a great box 1 record and looks set to make the most of this box here tonight. Two starts ago she put in a eye catching performance at and based on that and her box 1 record i think she can get the job done here tonight. Black Sahara is a flying machine and can get put and go, but shes getting on a little bit and looks exposed here tonight from the white rug. If Langi Bale can jump likes shes shown in the past, she the one ill be wanting to back at box-rise. Big chance and this looks her race.

Best of Luck
