Greyhound Betting Tips For Thursday 4th April 2013

The Maitland heats headline today's card. With 7 heats jammed pack full of flying machines. Each heat has many winning chances, and plenty of the country's best chasers. has a strong hand with El Brooklyn, Werynski and the flying, Whata Good Size.

, has recent Gold Collar winner Scissor Queen engaged, along with the freakish Hot Tewin. These runners are only a few of many seriously fast greyhounds engaged. For any greyhound fan, today's heats are a must see, and the action kicks off at Maitland today at 3.57pm NSW time.

Yesterday's Results: Babylon Hotel – Unplaced, Perfect Rosso – Unplaced, Tark's Legend – Second, Serisier Street – Winner $3.60, Sunny Nyasaland – Winner $3.70, Jack Silver- Winner $1.60.

Fair day yesterday, with only two unplaced runners. Tark's Legend ran second but had his chance to salute. He made a few errors in running and it ultimately cost him the race.

Ipswich Greyhounds, Race 2 Box 3 Might Be Me, 7.04pm Qld time

The appropriately named Might Be Me, might be the one here tonight. He has a good record on the track, and should develop into a nice hound. He's not overly quick early but he does finish of his races very well. It's hard to work out where he is going end up after box rise, but I'm hoping he can position himself along the rail. The trained, And It's Gone, will be the hardest to beat after, racing extremely well throughout the Recent Vince Curry Series, and posting a flying 30.57 in the process. Might Be Me, will be over the odds and with his fair share of luck, expect him to race very well in this. Each way chance.

Angle Park Greyhounds Race 6 Box 6 Mimicking, 8.58pm Vic time

A heat of the West End Draught Distance Championship here, and Mimicking should dispose of this lot after the scratching of likely favourite Abdon Bale. He's by far the class runner in the field, and his main Danger Cousin Callum is racing poorly. His win last week was in slow time and nearly 19 lengths below his best. Mimicking has has two previous runs here, with a PB of 43.78. He will take great benefit from those runs and he clearly looks the winner. Box well out wide, he should initially jump mid field, and he should finish way too strong for these. He should be about $2.20on the tote and fixed price will be offered by our sponsors, Sportingbet, Iasbet, , and . It may pay to get in early and back this fellow with fixed price odds. He should have no trouble winning this.

Dapto Greyhounds, Race 5 Box 6 Camouflage Model, 8.55pm NSW time

Last week we made this girl out best bet, and unfortunately she was pipped right on the line in fast time. She will strip lengths better after last weeks run, and expect her to win here tonight. She begins very quickly, and can once again lead this field. It took Box 1 runner Sizzling Osti to runner her down last week. Sizzling Osti has drawn better here again tonight, but expect Camouflage Model to improve just that little but more to win here tonight. There's not going to be much between them and it might pay to take the two runners in a multiple. She's only young and expect to see her winning many more races after tonight. A good young bitch from a very fast and successful litter and one to keep following in the future. Don't take silly odds though, $3.00 should be about the right price.

Hobart Greyhounds, Race 10 Box 3 Shanlyn Mini, 10.30pm NSW time

This girl looks a great chance in this tonight. She has a pretty fair record, but does find it hard to win. It's a fair field with a few winning chances. She doesn't need to lead to win and can from both ends. She should position up mid-field early, and she only needs to gain a clear passage to go very close here. She will be a good each way odds, and she should give punters a great run for there money. Each way.

Sandown Greyhounds, Race 2 Box 1 Born On Lava, 7.24pm Vic Time

This is the third time we have tipped this girl and although tonight is a real acid test, it will be the last time we do. Early in her career she was touted as being a future stayer by her . In her last couple it appears she may not go further then 600. Box 1 will be perfect and she should boot up early and contest the lead. Langi Bale the flying G.Bate runner, has come back from a spell in fine form. She will start favourite and will be mighty hard to beat. Expect Born On Lava, to start at big odds, and if she can ping and roll forward, once on the bunny I expect her to keep rolling. She has posted a quick 30.02 over the 500 at the Meadows. She can run the trip, and if they find trouble behind, there's no doubt she can win. She should be big odds and certainly worth an Each way bet.
