One from four last night with two seconds. Princes Tee got the job done nicely at $2.00. Sugar Bullet run second and couldn't reel in the early leader; and the same went for Pale Ale she too couldn't reel in the early leader in Booze Hound at Wentworth Park.
Let's hope we can find a few today, it's getting tougher!
Ipswich Greyhounds Race 9 Box 1 High And Mighty 6.34pm
I've looked over and over again, at the run of the likely favorite here in Don't Blink, after he produced a complete form turn around and flew around here in a hot 30.58 last week. There's no doubt he'll get another opportunity here again today but I doubt whether he can do it twice and for that reason I'm going with High and Mighty who had finally drawn a good box. There's no doubt we will get overs with Don't Blink being engaged here. I doubt wether High and Mighty can run 30.58 here but he should get around and down to about the 30.80 mark. He has the speed to lead here and he should find the bunny early on. If he can and he's able to reel of some handy sections he'll no doubt brake the heart of Don't Blink. These two runners look far and beyond better then the rest of the field and punters looking for exotics should anchor these two runners in them. High and Mighty to win.
Angle Park Greyhounds Race 11 Box 2 Fender 3.46pm
Very tough race and I'm going with Fender who is only a chance and certainly no certainty, but his first run last week over this trip was terrific. I have no doubt he will have taken a huge amount of improvement from it. He should be double figure odds here in this abs for that reason alone he's a great eachway bet. If he boxes well he might just get the fly here, and once on the bunny he may surprise a few. There's a lot of talent engaged and boxes 5,7 will be the hardest to beat. Box 8 runner Danger Sign is another who could pop up to win this if he decides to chase. Go with Fender eachway at odds.
Devonport Greyhounds Race 1 Box 1 Set Choice 1.02pm
I was impressed with the last run of this fellow at Hobart last start. He finished a gallant second behind Pinto Pronto, and Pinto Pronto came out tonight and scorched around the track at Launceston in flying 29.60. That makes the run of Set Choice even better as in running second at Hobart he was still coming. From the cherry here today if he bounces and can use the red to his advantage he might prove super hard to catch. Problem is he's only won the one race and he does seem allergic to winning. At eachway odds I reckon he's a great bet.
Lismore Greyhounds Race 10 Box 2 Blimzilla 9.42pm
The John Free trained Blimzilla gets her chance get to bounce back to her best. She looked quite promising when first put into training but has really fizzled out over the last few. She has a average PB here of 24.57 but I get the feeling she can go quicker if she pings and goes from the time the lids fly open. There isn't a great deal of speed around her early, and she should be able to find the top without spending to much energy. Once on the bunny she's quite nippy and should break them up a little. Even though there is a few handy ones engaged in this, at double figure odds she's worth the punt. Eachway chance.
