Albion Park Greyhounds Race 5 Box 1, Ah Gee Lass, 9.04pm
The Dean Turley trained Ah Gee Lass looks the winner here from the red box. She’s quite a fast bitch, but isn’t very consistent, and that makes it hard to catch her on her night. She’s run 35.36 here already but that was under the old running system, so expect her to get around the 35.10 mark if she performs at her very best. She’s well drawn and will stick to the rail throughout the race. As long as she gets away and uses the red box she should be hard to beat here in this at odds of $5.00.
It’s a tricky affair apart from her with the rest of the field quite even and out of form. Jilly’s Flash on old form would be super hard to beat, so definitely keep her safe.
Angle Park Greyhounds Race 1 Box 3 Jimmy Lane 6.33pm
This fellow had a touch of class factor about him, and will be hard to stop here in this. He’s put in a couple of fair performances so far since coming across from Victoria. He probably hasn’t adapted to the tight start here at Angle Park just yet. He’s got good early speed and when on the bunny can run good times. If he pings and finds the top here tonight he’ll be mighty hard to run down.
Win lose or draw here tonight, keep following him as he’ll be winning plenty here at Angle Park.
Launceston Greyhounds Race 4 Box 1 Dark Gladiator. 8.40pm
This fellow has put in some fantastic storm home performances of late. He’s suited stepping back up to the 600m trip and will relish racing from the red in the small field. He’s got the time on the board and should be at odds of about $2.50.
Last campaign over the distance, he was flat and wasn’t racing with a lot of gusto. This time in, he’s finding himself much closer early and is finding the line as good as he can.
Punters searching for value might be able to find it in taking the exacta, with Lucky Day from box seven the likely second placegetter.
Shepparton Greyhounds Race 7 Box 3 Allen Benji, 9.08pm
This fellow is starting to get a bit long in the tooth, but he’s been such an electric fast chaser over the past two years.
He’s well boxed here tonight and only needs to find himself in a forward position to make his presence felt in this. He’s by far the quickest dog in the race, but hasn’t been in that form for quite a while now. He should start at $6.00 or more and at that price he’s worth the punt.
Dimple Way looks the main threat. He’s perfectly boxed and should spear the lids and take plenty of catching. Maybe a quinella is worth a go at here in this.
Best of luck
