There's no doubt Fine Cotton will win over the 600, and not just the odd race either. She should notch up many wins over the journey and tonight looks a great chance for her to kick start that. There's only two winning chances in this race here tonight, Fine Cotton and the likely favourite Ben's House.
Fine Cotton is a mad railer and crashes across until she gets to the rail, and that can be her undoing. But she's got a huge motor and is capable of running down the likely leader in Ben's House if she gets clear early enough.vExpect Ben's House to jump and find the top early on, and once in front he'll take plenty of catching.
The race looks a excellent betting race and punters should take all the multiples with Fine Cotton and Ben's House as the top two.
Angle Park Greyhounds Race 5 Box 5 Book Of Shadows, 7.54pm
This race could prove to be very tricky to sort out. Emerley Lover is the query runner and will shoot to the early lead, but the question is will he run out the 600m trip. There's no doubt if he pings and goes he'll space them early, but if our selection Book Of Shadows can jump and find clear running behind the early leaders she'll be a huge danger as Emerley Lover starts to get tired.
Box four runner Springvale Cool could also prove to be a danger, if she pings and finds the top.
Book of Shadows should represent value and expect her to be $5.00 or more in this.
Launceston Greyhounds Race 2 Box 1 Tiger Toes, 8.01pm
I've been on the Tiger Toes band wagon for a few starts now, and he's failed to fire.vBut he gets another chance at big odds here to salute. All the money will come for the talented and speedy Black Rip, but he can be risky in the run home if he doesn't set up a big enough lead. Tiger Toes can run time, and is quite strong in the run to the line. He's recorded a PB of 30.37 here and that won't be anywhere near quick enough to win this, but he's certainly capable of running sub 30.00 if he pings the lids and get into a forward position early.
At odds of $10.00 or more, he's worth the punt in a race he can win from a box that will suit.
Shepparton Greyhounds Race 6 Box 1 Maximus Danger, 8.47pm
This fellows a fast dog and can run time when he's on the lure. This is a very hard race, but he can bounce back after having no luck last time out. He can get away with these here in this race and if he steers clear of trouble he will pose a real threat.
Rashad is the main danger after winning really well last time out at Warragul.
As long as Maximus Danger starts at $5.00 or more he's worth a small bet.
