Greyhound Betting Tips Thursday 27th March
Tonight's main attraction will be the running of the Maitland Cup, with Maitland taking over the usual time slot of Dapto. Paw Licking looks to have a stranglehold over the race after lowering the record in the heats last week. 9.58pm the lids fly open and $40,000 awaits the winner.
Its not great weather here in Queensland and it's possible that Albion Park will be called off tonight if the rain keeps up, which seems quite likely according to the forecast. I'm not a big fan of wagering when the it rains, I feel it affects some dogs more then others. I remember an incident at Albion Park one night, when a daughter of the champ Miss Grub was odds on favourite to win. It was pouring rain and she had to be dragged to the boxes. The lids flew open and only seven runners came out, with the odds on pop deciding it was too wet. She walked around the boxes and back under the shelter. So keep that in mind when punting tonight.
Albion Park Greyhounds Race 3 Box 3 Pearl Za Zinger 7.26pm
Its quite a hard card tonight at Albion Park, and its likely to get harder if the rain keeps up during the meeting. Speedy beginner Pearl Za Zinger looks a great each way show here tonight in this 5th grade. Her past couple of starts have been good and she's only been beaten by small margins. The daughter of Surf Lorian and Kaycee Diva can begin well to lead, with box seven runner You Say So the only other likely leader. Two starts back she recorded a personal best of 30.15 and if she runs up to that here tonight, she'll be mighty hard to stop.
Pearl Za Zinger looks capable of setting up a couple of lengths break on the majority of the field and will keep going all the way if she doesn't get too much pressure. You Say So is the likely pressure dog and he won well Monday night from the same box. These two runners look the likely leaders for the majority of the race and can run first and second here.
Box four runner Flick Pass, box six runner Jungle Junction and box one runner Big Dac look likely to fill the placings respectively. My only concern is Pearl Za Zinger and YouS ay So could tangle up, and if this does happen, it is likely to open the race right up.

Angle Park Greyhounds Race 3 Box 2 Encosta Kahn 7.55pm
Encosta Kahn is once again tonight's Angle Park selection. He's been unable to get across the line first here the last three weeks when he's looked the outright winner. He has drawn the two box here tonight and he should have no excuses in getting across over to the rail, even if Victa Sam does beat him out he should be strong enough to take over early on. HE is still racing really well and he still looks capable of breaking 30.00.
Victa Sam at his best can win and he looks set to run a much improved race here from the inside trap. He has always raced well here and looks likely to gain a clear trouble free run early on, which should see him get closer to the bunny than he has been for a long while, which should result in an improved performance. Allen Illem from out wide can race handy and with racing luck he will be steaming around the outside mid race.
Encosta Kahn win only and last chance at around the $2.30 mark with Sportsbet.
Maitland Greyhounds Race 6 Box 3 Nosey Rozy 9.14pm
We all know how good Nosey Rozy is, but I just hope we see the best of her. At her best she's a likely group winner. Rozy is a track record breaker and a flying machine when on song and she returned from a long injury lay off and went like a rocket here last start after beginning slowly. She should begin much better here tonight now she has had that first run back out of her system. She has stopped the clock here in a solid 25.31 already, but she's certainly capable of running much quicker then that. Box three suits and she can begin with them, before unleashing an early onslaught of sheer pace, which should see her put a gap in her rivals before racing away for a comfortable victory.
Lil Miss Sparkle is the main danger. She will get the run of the race and get her chance to show her brilliant early toe. She should begin fast and will be the likely winner should Rozy find herself caught up in traffic.
$3.30 should be around for Rozy and I suggest jumping on early with one of our many corporates.. Punters looking for value cant go past the ageless Yo Cool Maxie, who is back racing in superb fashion, winning eight of his last 10 starts at over four years of age.
Hobart Greyhounds Race 6 Box 8 White Prado 9.05pm
This is a clear cut three dog race here tonight. White Prado, Despicable Matt and Minnie Mogul look panels better then the rest of the field. White Prado is my on top selection and he has once again drawn perfectly in box eight. The son of Where's Pedro was narrowly beaten here last week by Minnie Mogul as the short priced $1.20 favourite. There is no way he can start at that price again, not after being beat on his merits last start, and with the addition of Despicable Matt who posted a solid 26.36 here, which was just slightly slower then Minnie Mogul.
White Prado did look to have a bit more in reserve last week and it's likely he can go much quicker then he did here when being beat. Its quite possible $ 2.80 to $3.00 could be around fro him tonight, so if he starts around that I say load up. He looks the winner.
Sandown Greyhounds Race 3 Box 4 Cee Ronaldo 7.46pm
This fellow has a motor and when on song can challenge some of the states best. His form is only very average of late, but with a quick getaway he can run time and prove very hard to beat. Box four isn't much of a concern, despite it being the only box he's yet to win from. He fell very early into his career and I feel that has always lingered with him, stopping him from fulfilling his potential. He is however a winner of nearly $58,580 and looks a chance to add to that tally here tonight. If he can begin and get across he will give them plenty to catch.
The main danger is the very speedy Osbourne Bale, who will likely spear the lids and head straight to the front. If they jam in behind then he looks the winner.
Cee Ronaldo could be overs in this so have a each way go here at him in this suitable race.
