Best Bet
The Meadows
Race 2: Dyna Yemen
Dyna Yemen is all class and he appears to have relished the step up in distance of late. Two starts back he showed his true ability with a sizzling 34.14 Sandown Park win and if he can reproduce that type of form he will take some catching. There is very limited early speed in this event, so from the red draw he should be able to hold them out and if he finds the top he should be winning.
Best Value
Wentworth Park
Race 6: Chica Destacada
Chica Destacada represented NSW in the Sprint Championship Final last year and she took out the Grand Final. This time round she isn't going as well but she is still capable of matching it with the best and she looks well placed in this event. There doesn't appear to be a lot of speed drawn around her, so she should be able to pounce on the early lead and she is a different chaser when she can dictate the terms. Brad Hill Billy is flying at present but if she finds the top he will have trouble getting past her. You can currently get around the $4.50 mark with William Hill and that is great value.
Best Roughie
Wentworth Park
Race 4: Mr. Corsair
Mr. Corsair can be a little hard to follow at times but when he is switched on he is a highly talented stayer. He has had a slight freshen up so he should show a little more early speed tonight and if he can balance up in the top five, he should be able to make a big impact. He is currently at the $15 mark with William Hill which is great odds, however I think the place price of $3.25 is where we can make some money.
Best Quinella
The Meadows
Race 12: 2 to rove with 3,5,8 ($3 for 100%)
Texas Titan is a beast when right and he should appreciate racing in this class. With some luck early he should be able to finish in the top two. The three and five have the speed to lead and they should be in the mix for a long way, whilst the eight will get home hard and he must be respected.
Best Trifecta
