Greyhound Racing Tips For Monday 13th July 2009

Welcome to Australian Racing Greyhound's free Greyhound Racing Tips for Monday 13th July 2009 with Tips tonight from Cranbourne (Victoria), Wentworth Park (New South Wales), Albion Park (Queensland) and Angle Park (New South Wales).

We hope you can forgive us for not getting Saturday night's tips published, although I'm sure after the huge night on night many of our followers would have been happy to spend up and enjoy the weekend.

For the record we offered up 6 expert selctions Friday night with 4 of them finding the winning post first for a huge collect of over $1200 for the $600 outlay at all our bookies.

With racing tonight from Cranbourne (Victoria), Wentworth Park (New South Wales), Albion Park (Queensland) and Angle Park (New South Wales), lets just review some of our betting advice for the way those tracks play.

Cranbourne races over the 311m, 520m and 699m distances. Punters should stay away from the 311m races as a short run to the first corner cause unpredictable results and leaders usually win. Box 8 is a huge advantage in these races.

The 520m distance runs more consistently and the track show a more normal distribution of the four “bookend” boxes performing best. The 699m races are run infrequently and usually contain one standout selection.

Wentworth Park went from being a very fair track to a leader biased track with the addition of “transition turns” to the corners in the mid 90's. Leaders have been advantaged ever since that track modification and consequently red box draws are small advantage over both the 520m and 720m distances now.

Albion Park was the first track in Australia to move to the finish-on lure system and it is definitely the better of the two Queensland TAB tracks. A lack of depth in a lot of races can cause upsets at Albion Park when favourites are over-rated or suffer interference. Tread warily when betting on the corner start 600m races; and the 700m races will often throw up odds-on favourites that have alot of weakness about them.

Angle Park is all about leading to the first corner, class dogs will knock up winning in South Australia as their is a definite lack of depth, even at higher grades. Again be wary of betting in 600m and 700m events at Angle Park as in many cases it is just the last throw of the dice for and there are very few genuine stayers.

Cranbourne Greyhounds – Race 6 – Box 4 – Cee Four

Stand back and wait for the bang!. Cee Four has so far won 9 of 22 starts with 7 minors and was a good come from behind winner at Horsham last start in 27.51. That was only his second run off a 12 month break at prior to the spell had been racing in top company and had recorded a flying 29.75 Meadows win. Looks to be back close to right and will be very hard to beat.

Cranbourne Greyhounds – Race 12 – Box 8 – Spiral Nakita

The well travelled Last Stress has her share of ability based on her near best of night 24.45 Warragul win but has dissapointed at all 3 of her other starts. Like most Spiral Nakita's she struggles to show her true ability without the right run and from box 8 tonight expect rapid improvement and a glimpse of her best form.

Wentworth Park Greyhounds – Race 2 – Box 1 – Forty Twenty

Won't be flash odds but dual track record holder and NSW best stayer, Forty Twenty should have no trouble accounting for this lot assuming he gets half a crack at them at any point in this race. Has been racing against the best in Oz and although Black Minx has been racing very well, doubt she can upset the favourite from this inside draw.

Wentworth Park Greyhounds – Race 5 – Box 1 – Zambola Bale

There'll be plenty of money for the other runners here but 's shouldn't overlooked after securing yet another box 1 draw. 's lesser known litter brother has inherited the same hard chasing finish but is not quite as quick early. Gets his chance of box 1 and should be able to secure a good run in transit. Doubt from the wide draw that Silver City Jake will be able to repeat his sub 30 run from last week.

Wentworth Park Greyhounds – Race 6 – Box 5 – Magic City

Very interesting race with both and Dentax Bale looking to take sit in running and early speedster No Dingo getting a run from box 4 as reserve and running cover for Magic City in box 5. If either Dentax Bale or Take The Kitty find the lead early the race is over but fancy Magic City can race to the lead while No Dingo gets in the way of those behind. Magic City won well at Dapto last start, can handle wide draws and can go quick enough to win this.

Wentworth Park Greyhounds – Race 10 – Box 3 – Kidatee Alf

is making the long trip from the NSW Coast to Wenty tonight with a handful of runners and prolific winner Kidatee Alf looks the best of his chances from box 3 in the last race. Pinged and led all the way last start at Casino and although on debut at Wenty has early pace and lacks nothing on the score of experience, having started 66 times for 16 wins and 27 placings.
