Greyhound Racing Tips For Monday 17th June 2013

We see a little change tonight in racing here in QLD. is not racing due to track maintenance, so have taken over the Monday night time slot. Most of the races are over the city journey of 520, with a 630 distance event and two races over the 431. I'm a fan of Ipswich and find it a great track to attend and punt on.

Ipswich Greyhounds, Race 1 Box 3 Doc Graham 6.45pm

I'm working with nothing here in making Doc Graham my on top selection here at Ipswich. I haven't seen, or heard anything about this bloke to suggest he can win. But I am aware of 2 of the litter who are very promising at the present. One of them Mysterious Thing is going quieter well for a future stayer. Bred by the Russell family, Doc Graham may be a slow beginner, but should have a rattling finish if he's anything like his sister or talented mother. Being a first starter he may start at backable odds, and I suggest a small outlay here tonight.

Angle Park Greyhounds, Race 4 Box 1 Azz Always 7.40pm

I'm tipping in my usual favorite event tonight, a 700m race at . Azz Always should win and quite frankly will win. Box 1 here will be of huge advantage to the usual slow beginner. Two starts ago he put in a career best performance over the 700 chasing home Kalden Mayhem and in the process run a very slick 43.48! From the box here tonight, I can see him booting up early and maybe landing 3 or 4th around the first turn. Allen Bardolf and new kid on the block Sheza Ten, appear the only dangers. But we can't knock the Son of Cool, Azz Always; and based on his consistent and recent form he should be a little to good here tonight for this lot. If he jumps like he can, he will lead and should he first past the post.

Bulli Greyhounds, Race 4 Box 5 Spring Colombia 8.12pm

I'm going with another maiden here, which is generally a very bad idea; but we are aiming for a little value, so we will stick with the youngster Spring Colombia. He has PT here in a good 23.17 and was never a chance last week when beginning slowly. He's been immediately stepped up here to the longer journey. Which I see as a positive sign. Box 5 isn't all that bad as long as you jump. There's No superstar maidens here in this and I'm quietly confident he can get the job done if he jumps. Punters should look to get odds of 5-1.

Launceston Greyhounds, Race 7 Box 7 Terror Time 9.36pm

I know what some people will be saying here, you selected Happy Tiger to beat her in the heat and he did. How can she turn the tables this time out. Well it's quite simple, Happy Tiger was always going to get clear running early and got his chance to warm up. In today's race against a small better field, Terror Time should once again lead and head off the field early. Once in front she can run time, and Happy Tiger along with a few others will all be racing for luck. She's proven she can run over all distances and run time over them all. Expect her to lead and take plenty of catching. She should get out too $3.60 and I thinks she's a great bet tonight.

Shepparton Greyhounds Race 4 Box 1 Break of Day, 8.09pm

Break of Day should win this here tonight, but probably not by a huge margin. He has panels on this sorry lot, but 650 is about as short as you would want it here for him against these. He's perfectly boxed, if he gets out and gets around the first corner safely. He's certainly capable of doing so and I see no reason why he won't; but I wouldn't be taking anything less here then $1.60. His last start win at was good but not exceptional. He beat a poor field with very few runners. It did take him a while to get going last start, so I'm hoping that doesn't occur here. With clear running he should easily account for these and hit the lead and race away with about 100ms to go.

Best of Luck
