Greyhound Racing Tips For Sunday 29th March 2009

Welcome to Australian Racing Greyhound's free Greyhound Racing Tips for Sunday 29th March 2009 with Tips tonight Wentworth Park (New South Wales) Sale (Victoria) and Canberra (Australian Capital Territory). At Wenworth Park, we have heats of the much sought after 3 Multiquip Magic Maiden.

Yesterday's racing, particularly through the Golden Easter Egg heast threw up plenty of upsets, as they did this time last year; and consequently we undid some of the pretty excellent work we'd managed over the poast four nights.

For the second time we did not nominate a Lay of the night selection as we couldn't identify a suitably vulnerable odds on runner.

With tonight's Greyhound Racing coming from Wentworth Park (New South Wales), Sale (Victoria) and Canberra (Australian Capital Territory), lets just recap betting advice for those tracks.

Wentworth Park went from being a very fair track to a leader biased track with the addition of “transition turns” to the corners in the mid 90's. Leaders have been advantaged ever since that track modification and consequently red box draws are small advantage over both the 520m and 720m distances now.

Sale greyhounds race over the 440m, 520m and 650m distances. The 440m races start at the top of the back straight and are the best betting option, with 520m races starting on a corner and very few 650m races being run. The 440m races show a fairly normal distribution with boxes 1,2,7 and 8 all performing well. The 520m races are heavily biased to the two inside boxes, winning more than a third of all races over that distance.

Canberra, like most regional clubs, suffers generally from a lack of depth in the fields and frequently a lack of exposed form. Punters who like their money should stay away from the 310m races, and the corner start 440m races. The 530m races can bet on with some confidence.

2009 Multiquip Magic Maiden Heat 5 – Wentworth Park Greyhounds – Race 1 – Box 6 – Kay Size

Full brother to Made To Size from the second repeat mating of Surf Lorian ~ Queen Size, and half brother to , State, Hitech King, Teddy's Pride, Rylee's Reward. If he can't run it won't be through lack of pedigree.

2009 Multiquip Magic Maiden Heat 6 – Wentworth Park Greyhounds – Race 2 – Box 8 – Physical

The Ruth King trained Physical has been in our Australian Racing Greyhound Kennel since his debut run on the 5th Macrh 2009. This is his first outing since having no luck at that Dapto run, and showing us enough to suggest he has plenty of pace. Unfortunately has to overcome another wide draw but has obvious ability.

2009 Multiquip Magic Maiden Heat 7 – Wentworth Park Greyhounds – Race 3 – Box 3 – Sizzler

If Physical bolts in in Race 2, you won't get any price this runner who is a full litter sister to both Physical and Queenland Futurity 3rd placegetter Next Top Model. Trained in the same kennel as Physical this one is owned by Jim Thompson.

2009 Multiquip Magic Maiden Heat 8 – Wentworth Park Greyhounds – Race 4 – Box 2 – Street Stare

By ~ Arisara and trained by Keith Burnett from Bringelly, this greyhound remains in the ownership of Alison Beavis who also owns the dam, so that might give us some lead on the greyhounds ability. Arisara's previous two litters haven't flattered on the track and certainly haven't acheived the former glory of their dam whcih included a Sydney Cup and Summer Cup Finals as well as Chariman's Cup win.

2009 Multquip Magic Maiden Heat 9 – Wentworth Park Greyhounds – Race 5 – Box 2 – Obsession

Trained by Glenfield Rob Murray, this greyhound has already had one start for a 7th at Dapto, but that was way back on the 1st Jnauary 2009. By Country Willee ~ Paltrow, this black bitch hails from the highly productive Genuine Replica ~ Lauren's Desire ~ Thai Magic damline and it will be a miracle if he hasn't inherited some of that speed.

2009 Multiquip Magic Maiden Heat 10 – Wentworth Park Greyhounds – Race 6 – Box 8 – Thai Amaze

Speaking of the pre-potent Genuine Replica ~ Lauren's Desire ~ Thai Magic damline, here's another runner from that same line, owned in the same connections as Thai Magic and trained by Richie Dean; this daughter of ~ Thai Again is a full litter sister to , Tian Hao Lee and Tian Hao Miss. Fell at her only start back in December 2008 and has been given plenty of time to overcome that.

2009 Multiquip Magic Maiden Heat 11 – Wentworth Park Greyhounds – Race 7 – Box 4 – Luxury King

Open race with most of the runners having already started. Luxury King has to offset a poor box but has run 2nd in a Richmond qualie and run 4th on debut at Richmond Again. By Bond ~ Paper Craft he hails from the good pringle Spanish Dance ~ Prize Dancer Pringle damlines and only needs a fraction of that lines ability to win this average heat.

2009 Multiquip Magic Maiden Heat 12 – Wentworth Park Greyhounds – Race 8 – Box 6 – Sir Swinger

Debut runner trained by Christine Proctor who is by Pure Octane ~ Uno Bello. Dam is a full litter sister to high class runner Cash Up and hails from the same lines as Jimmy Neutron, Vapour Whirl and Rocky. Won't be surprised to see him win this.

2009 Multiquip Magic Maiden Heat 12 – Wentworth Park Greyhounds – Race 9 – Box 3 – Heza Nice Size

From the same litter as earlier runner Kay Size, Heza Nice Size is a full brother to Made To Size from the second repeat mating of Surf Lorian ~ Queen Size, and half brother to Size Can Matter, Kay Size State, Hitech King, Teddy's Pride, Rylee's Reward. Looks a standout in this race.

2009 Multiquip Magic Maiden Heat 12 – Wentworth Park Greyhounds – Race 10 – Box 1 – Miss Speculate

Has faced the starter 16 times and run 5 placings without winning. Becomes our selction here by default dou to the other runners and the advantage of box 1. Has some early pace and race experience will be an asset here.

Canberra Greyhounds – Race 1 – Box 1 – Loki Izmir

Went terrible here last start from box 8, but the Ken Staines trained Loki Izmir was a good debut winner at Nowra comeing from near last to land the cash in a best of day 30.81 looks as though he should get the right run here from box 1.

Canberra Greyhounds – Race 2 – Box 3 – Budapest

Budapest was just collared here by last week in the heats but Budapest should lead this again and with 5 starts for 3 wins and 2 2nd's to his name. A litter brother to classy and up and comer Lochinvar Milano, who must have inherited some of the Hallinan/Pringle damline family pace. Should start a good price and doubt Wannabe First will get the same ruin in traffic today.

Canberra Greyhounds – Race 6 – Box 1 – Suffocate

Should breathe some life in to our account balances with 4 starts at Canberra over this track and distance for 4 wins. Unbeaten from the red box and has just enough early pace to put himself in the race.

Sale Greyhounds – Race 3 – Box 1 – Double Jump

We made the Chris Johannsen trained Double Jump one of our selections on 2 occassions so far for a 4th and a last start 2nd at Warragul from this box. Wasn't disgraced last start running second all the way has now had 5 starts for a win, a 2nd, and a 3rd. Should lead and be third time lucky for our followers.

Sale Greyhounds – Race 4 – Box 2 – Pure Love

We made the Darren McDonald trained Pure Love our lay of the night at Ballarat last starts and duly led and knocked up getting beaten at $1.60 to prove us good judges. But today from box 2 with a scartching in box and at Sale, if Pure love can hold out speedy Nuts Fawn Suit from box 3 until to the corner, Pure Love should be able to secure enough of a break to last the short home straight at Sale. I know we said last start jump off, but this start, jump on.

Sale Greyhounds – Race 6 – Box 3 – Tad Rusty

Hot Puzzle will start tomato sauce odds from box 1 in this, but with speedy Tad Rusty boxed in the 3, it is unlikely Hot Puzzle will get through the first corner without interference. There is no doubt Hot Puzzle is a high class greyhound and better than Tad Rusty, but Tad Rusty led Betty Boo 2 starts ago at The Meadows and only just got collared in the best of the night and then led all the way at leader biased Warrnambool just running outside the best of the night last start. Should lead and win again, despite the fact Hot Puzzle will start odds on.

Sale Greyhounds – Race 7 – Box 1 – Major Slick

Grew a leg at Sale when he had the 2 box 6 starts ago and then drew the red at Warragul and duly saluted again. Is unbeaten off the red box, and going on his last win should just ping and win here. Major Slick has won 4 here form 7 with 2 minors and has a personal best of 24.81. Home.

Lay Of The Night – Sale Greyhounds – Race 8 – Box 1 – Aston Volante

We made this greyhound our lay of the night last start here in the heats, but were foiled by a miracle run through the field which put Aston Volante in to open country which he revelled in winning by 3 lengths. This week in the final, we betting he'll get covered up again this Jason Thompson trained greyhound has failed at all 3 starts prior to last week at the odds of $1.70, $1,70 and $1.50. Likely to start odds one agian, Aston Volante will get headed again, but this week there'll be no miracles to save the fools who back him at $1.80.
